We Have A Native App Workaround For Now

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Thu May 31, 2018 2:06 pm

As all of you know, we have created a native app for the NFBC this year and had hoped to have it live early in the season. It was developed before the start of the season, but getting it into the iTunes and Google stores is taking longer than expected. It's been harder and harder to get fantasy sports pay-to-play apps approved since the DFS fiasco of 2015 and even STATS was unable to get our baseball app approved last year.

That being said, we have submitted the new NFBC app to the iTunes store several times and it has been rejected several times. We continue to make changes to the app and resubmitting for approval with the hope that soon it will be approved. But after two months of trying, we've decided to create a short term workaround. It's not exactly a native app, but it will work similarly.

Here's what you can do on the iPhone or an iPad:

Open https://playnfbc.sportshubtech.com/ in Safari.
Tap the Share icon at the bottom of the page.
Choose Add Bookmark or Add to Favorites in the Share menu.
Enter a name for the bookmark in the field provided.
Tap Save if you chose to Add to Favorites. If you choose to Add Bookmark, first select a folder from the list on the screen by tapping on it and then tap Save.

You can add the website's icon to your Home Screen, by selecting the "Add to Home Screen" option from the Share menu. You need to scroll those icons to the right to find the "Add to Home Screen" icon.

For Android devices:

When you have the web page up in Chrome, tap on the menu (i.e. the three dots in the upper right). There’s an option for ‘Add to Home Screen.’ That’ll add the icon to the home screen.

Hope this works for everyone.

By doing this above, it will add the NFBC icon to your desktop and will work similarly to an app. Again, once we get the native app approved we will replace this. Hope this works for now and trust us, we are trying with iTunes and the Google store.
