Jeremy Bonderman

Chris Capuano

Boof Bonser

Mike Pelfrey

Greg Maddux

How would that make you feel?

How would that make you feel? Like I just chugged a half gallon of milk... And I'm lactose intolerant.

Hopefully it would make me feel like my hitters and closers are amazing and that I can spend all of my bench spots and FAAB $$ on prospective starters.

If not, then I would feel like the half gallon of milk guy.

How would that make you feel? I do not want to "milk" any of the prior analogies, but Bonderman, Capuano (watch the 2H fade), and Maddux are solid. Boof is supposed to be for real, but on that team I just am not sure the wins will come. Pelfry is alright, but it would be better if he were your sixth or seventh starter, not your top five. I see trouble with K's, but WHIP and ERA should be OK. Wins is a crap shoot, but it always is.

Good luck!

If those were my top 5, I'd be really worried.

Sorry.

worried but for a reason you probably would not expect- worried about Capuano as my #2. I like Bonser and Maddux to have good years, and Bonderman is a legit ace.

I like that group, but if they were my top 5 I'd be thinking I should've drafted an ace and I'd like a little more depth in front of Pelfry.

How would that make you feel? I would call the police, because someone stole your #2, #4, and #5. Don't get me wrong, I like those guys, just not as my core 5.

Yeah, they look a lot better before I realize that you're not even telling us the other two guys. I have and love Bonderman and Maddux. Capuano I gut like better than I like him on paper (his ability to control the running game is hard to quantify). Bonser is way overrated and Pelfrey is a ham and egger. Presumably, if you're not punting wins, you have at least one more guy that's worse than a ham and egger. If you're going with the 5 starter, two closer, two annonymous RP strategy, you've already lost.

It would make me feel like I had a 1, a 3, three 6s and was missing a starting pitcher

That top 5 makes me feel better about my SP's (C.C, Schilling, Wang, Sowers, Maddux, Boof, Pavano, D Davis, S Hill, and F Carmona)

But you can score some quality guys throughout the year on waivers.

Do you have good MR and/or Closers to balance the staff?

I do have Nathan to anchor my pen, and a strong set of MRs led by Linebrink, Neshek, and Meredith.

The SPs are what concern me though, relative to the W and K categories. I only have Suppan and T Hudson to go along with the top 5 I posted at the top.
