We unofficially wrapped up our NFBC Satellite League season last night with four more drafts on MockDraftCentral.com. According to our records, I believe we ran a total of 38 satellite leagues this year, a new record for the NFBC. Before I go much further, I'd like to thank:
1. Geoff Stein and Jason Pliml at MockDraftCentral.com. Their site is MUCH improved this year and we didn't have any problems with the site this year. I'm sure some of you had some glitches or freezes, but sometimes that's your own computer. Geoff monitored just about every draft and jumped into the Chat room to add some fun to the evening. Thanks again guys for a great, great season.
2. Kudos go out to Tom Kessenich as well. Tom monitored EVERY single round of EVERY satellite league draft and worked just about every night of the week for the last five weeks. He worked hard to call every late owner and make sure we had 15 live bodies for every draft. Some owners had trouble getting logged in on time and Tom usually got them on the phone and made things work out. He did a yeoman's job with these leagues and I think he needs about 80 hours of sleep to catch up on his beauty sleep!!
3. Kudos also go out to Barb Prill for getting all of the accounting straight on these leagues. We were adding and subtracting leagues from some of you folks daily and it wasn't easy with the credit card companies. I think we got it all straight...atleast I hope we did.
4. And finally, kudos to STATS for getting all of these leagues up in time for this week's FAAB pickups. We added more satellite leagues than main event leagues and none of this is easy. Fortunately, we had all of the player IDs with MDC and the loading process was easier. Good job everyone.
And of course thanks to all of our die-hard fantasy baseball players who participated in the satellite leagues. You made the drafts fun and you showed us that there is a hunger for these online leagues. With any luck, we may expand this format next year and even include a national contest. Stay tuned. Good things are in store for the future.
Good luck everyone. It's time to PLAY BALL!!!

Great job everyone!
Now if we could get 14 more owners for this saturday, I'd sign up. Entry fee of let's say $250-$350. Pay top two spots. Draft starts at noon EST.

I'd like to thank Tom, Greg, and most of all, the NFBC participants for making my job as easy as possible.
I'd also like to apologize to anyone who was subjected to one of my awful jokes; but hey, you'd get bored watching a four-hour fantasy draft, too.
This is a first-rate operation whose customer service and integrity are A+ across the board. Working with Tom and Greg behind the scenes, I can say that both are class acts and all NF(enter letter here)C contests are in great hands.
I look forward to seeing all of you for football -- it's not too far away!
Love,
Geoff
P.S. Go Cubs!

As a first time participant, I was pleased and impressed with the service and experience. Smoother than I expected.
MDC froze up on one occasion(for all of 30 seconds), but I'm CONFIDENT it was my computer.
I can see why the NFBC grows every year!

I spoke to greg, and there will be no additional sat leagues. Good luck everybody. Maybe next year I'll have the perfect draft. This year was very good, but there are a few tweaks I can make to improve.

Great job guys! A National Sat league next year would be fantastic especially some of us who work overseas or who cant make it. Please consider, I think it would be a huge hit. Also, perhaps an Ultimate Sat league as well.
all the best and congrats on the best run ship in the business!

I'll also give my kudos.....these guys worked hard on all the drafts and worked even harder to find some last-minute replacements so there was no auto-drafting. Geoff, your site is top-notch and Greg and Tom did a great job in filling a niche for those of us tired by the same old stuff at other sites. Thanks again.

Thanks guys and also a thanks to the guys who ran Fantasy Auctioneer. I know it wasn't a perfect experience (a few too many freezes) but, to computerize a good auction experience is VERY challenging and I appreciate all the efforts they made.
Nice work Tom, MDC, and everyone else

Everyone is saying the satellite season is over.
Can I assume that our satellite draft for tomorrow morning (Saturday 3/31) is still on?

I have to warn you, though, I'm not much of a morning person

Anyone know when our rosters are expected to be loaded from the March 31 draft?

If they're not loaded before the first games tomorrow, I'll e-mail all 15 owners and have you e-mail this week's starting lineup. This is a no-FAAB league, so we'll get through this first week and be fine. Just hang tight as the draft ended less than 24 hours ago and we'll get those rosters set for you guys.
Good job everyone. You guys did that one in about 5.5 hours.
