I know we still have one week to go in the 2018 NFBC season, but the last week of the regular season always brings out thoughts about the first week of the 2019 season, so let's jump in.
If I'm correct, the NFBC Pre-Edraftulation league will start their draft this week. So don't be surprised to see some early draft results soon. Can't wait.
And today I saw ESPN's Tristan Cockroft with his first release of the Top 300. Tristan is one of those guys who updates his Top 300 list all year long and I respect him a lot, so let's take a look at his list. It includes Mike Trout at No. 2!!! Let's discuss. Here you go:
http://www.espn.com/fantasy/baseball/st ... all-season
His first 15 are:
1 Mookie Betts
2, Mike Trout
3. Jose Ramirez
4. Manny Machado
5. Francisco Lindor
6. Nolan Arenado
7. Jose Altuve
8. Chris Sale
9. J.D. Martinez
10. Max Scherzer
11. Bryce Harper
12. Trea Turner
13. Aaron Judge
14. Corey Kluber
15. Freddie Freeman
This looks like a good place to discuss the First Round. What do you have for the first 15 picks this year? Inquiring minds want to know. Go.

I believe that drafts will be more wide open this year.
Trout and Betts will be atop most drafts, but Ramirez, Acuna Jr., Lindor and others will be high choices as well.
With Acuna Jr. hitting the ground running, I believe it will result in other rookies like Eloy, Guerrero Jr, Soto etc also going higher than they would in other years.
Catchers and Closers are a mystery.
First basemen have gone from being dominant to demure.
In fact, middle infielders look more appetizing across the board than their counterparts at the corners.
I agree with Bryan, Tristan's list is safe and is mostly based on the latest numbers.
However, it is nice that writers are finally seeing what NFBC'ers saw long ago. There are Starting Pitchers in Tristan's first round.
Even though pitchers like Kershaw, Halladay, and Johan Santana were grabbed early by NFBC'ers and could carry teams, writers thought it best to 'wait' on pitchers and directed readers to follow that method.
Good to have them finally catching up to us.

On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!

When you come to Arizona next month and watch football on Sunday with Tristan, I'm going to tell him you compared him to "safe mans."NorCalAtlFan wrote: ↑Mon Sep 24, 2018 10:11 ami like tristan, but that's the safe mans top 15

We're all looking forward to draft results. Can't wait to get this rolling again.

I will finish out round 1 as I’m team 15 in the upcoming Premature league. A Mondesi, I’m coming for you!!
Actually, I still have business to attend to in our current premature league. The Bombers are fading fast. Likely a costly mistake by me not playing Jon Gray this week. He’s truly been a headache to own in this league. 6 days to go as I think the marlins and pirates game will be cancelled.

It does look like Major League Baseball cancelled Monday's scheduled makeup game between the Pirates and Marlins. Maybe the season will end Sunday after all.
