Two questions: will the original entrants be invited first? and when I go to signup it asks for credit card info ... when do you charge the card? Thanks.

Gregg, yes last year's participants have first dibs through Dec. 31st to sign up for this league. It's on Registration now. We actually filled two of these leagues that started that day, but we'll make sure the first league is intact if people sign up this month. I'll send an email out this week to those folks.

The DCs are charging upon signup now. Let me see if there's anything we can do on the $1,000 DCs about that.

Good news for all in the $1000.00 SLOW... my free money is back in 2019! :D
I am not good at Fantasy Baseball, but love it the same. I'm only doing this 1000 SLOW and maybe a 375 SLOW This year as I just can't keep up with the waivers etc... Anyways, looking forward as always to the smack talk and fun this league provides

"League 2" is a private, invitational league called the "Max Ogden Invitational" with prior owners having a right of first refusal*. Please stop lumping Max's League into this general $1,000 DC sign-up thread as it is is muddying the waters & confusing for those who are signing up thinking this is an open league. Feschuk & Reed are not in the league & should be placed on the wait list AFTER Rob Giese who last year so generously gave up his reserved spot for Max who went AWOL last year until right before the draft because he's a busy guy. Here is last year's owner's list & those with right of first refusal:

NFBC $1,000 Draft Champions League
Starts Monday, Feb. 19th, 1 pm ET
Max Ogden Invitational League
1. Daniel Einhorn
2. Jason Kroft
3. Leonard Ringle
4. Michael DeCavalcante

7. Mike Massotto
8. Matt Anderson
9. Christopher Cosley
10. Andy Robinson
11. Steven Spatz
12. Marc Pelmutter
13. Danny Bronski
14. Robert Zidonik
15. Max Ogden

*Massotto please separately start up one of your over-the-top, obnoxious league-hype threads for our league, preferrably with some equally over-the-top, obnoxious pics of titties so Max stays engaged. ;)

Yeah, I didn't realize that. I was in the second $1,000 Feb. league that formed last year after this first "Max Ogden" one was filled. I'm happy to withdraw.

No, you are fine Scott. You are first to move into this invitational league if someone from last year's league doesn't return. Not only that, we had two full leagues starting on this date last year, so I suspect there will be enough demand to fill two leagues again this year. Let's keep the signups coming in.

Here's the two leagues we hope to start on this date:

NFBC $1,000 4-Hour Draft Champions League 2
Max Ogden Invitational League
Starts Monday, Feb. 18th, 1 pm ET
15 Teams, 50 Rounds, 4 Hours Per Pick
Pay Top 3, $8,000 to 1st Place, $30,000 to Overall Champion

1. Gregory Doyle

4. David Einhorn
5. Joseph Rodriguez
6. Daniel Bronski
7. Christopher Cosley
8. Andy Robinson

NFBC $1,000 4-Hour Draft Champions League 3
Starts Monday, Feb. 18th, 1 pm ET
15 Teams, 50 Rounds, 4 Hours Per Pick
Pay Top 3, $8,000 to 1st Place, $30,000 to Overall Champion

Mike the Mouth hasn't signed up yet. This is because he wants this league moved to a 2-HR Limit. What are the thoughts of those who have signed up and played in this Original $1000 SLOW League?

However, in the spirit of flexibility we're OK with Mike having 2 hours while the rest of us have 4. Shorter time is better for A.D.D. types.

I concur on the 4 hour clock. Massotto's objection & demand for a 15 minute clock is noted for the record & overruled.

I want MtM in the league as he’s an original member and ORIGINAL CHAMPION! I also understand the want to push the draft along, however the group sounds like 4 hours is where it’s gonna stay for now. MtM... don’t take your ball and go home!!!

Sorry Max, and I'm sure everyone else will be truly broken up about this, but I'm going to have to take a pass on this league. I just won't have 8-10 days of my life to put attention on this league come February with at least the four other ones that I'll be doing come that month including The Mia and three of KJ's invitationals. And last year, it just wasn't enjoyable for me waiting hours a day on the same three or four people to make their picks. With a four hour clock, they had every right to do so if that's what they wanted to do, but it's not the way I like to roll. If you decide to go with a faster clock in this one, let me know. Thanks and good luck to all! I will miss the experience and laughter of seeing Max's picks and taking his annual donation especially since I've been with this one since the inaugural season.

Okay, we'll move Scott up into the Invitational league then with the new opening. Last year's Max Ogden Invitational got done in 7 days, which is one helluva pace. The clock will start at 4 hours for Rounds 1-30 and will be 2 hours from Rounds 31-50. As I stated yesterday, we can change that if the group agrees to a shorter clock time before Feb. 18th, but it looks like several folks want this to stick. So here we go:

NFBC $1,000 4-Hour Draft Champions League 2
Max Ogden Invitational League
Starts Monday, Feb. 18th, 1 pm ET
15 Teams, 50 Rounds, 4 Hours Per Pick
Pay Top 3, $8,000 to 1st Place, $30,000 to Overall Champion

1. Gregory Doyle
2. Max Ogden
3. Jason Kraft
4. David Einhorn
5. Joseph Rodriguez
6. Daniel Bronski
7. Christopher Cosley
8. Andy Robinson
9. Scott Feschuk

NFBC $1,000 4-Hour Draft Champions League 3
Starts Monday, Feb. 18th, 1 pm ET
15 Teams, 50 Rounds, 4 Hours Per Pick
Pay Top 3, $8,000 to 1st Place, $30,000 to Overall Champion

You're right, Greg, it was actually a much better pace than it would have been because I was facilitating the hell out of it every day otherwise this league would have easily went 10+ days last year. Fine by ordinary NFBC nonchalant standards, but way too much time and attention out of my life to sit through one of these at this price point with guys several hours on the clock and timing out here and there. How quickly some of the guys in this league last year who were bitching about this to me forget. Hate to miss it, but can't go through that again this year or worse.

Now that MtM is out, I'm gonna really get studying... I could finish in the Top 1/2 this year! In all seriousness, I really don't want Mike to leave as he is the original champ and member of the league. Mike, if you get back in I promise to keep my picks under 2 hours... :D

Nice deal for Cosley. If I knew that I could get two teams in one draft, I would have bit the bullet and signed up for this one as well.

I felt with my two entries it would improve everyone else's odds of having the overall DC champion come out of this league. ;)

I informed the powers that be that I was listed twice so my second entry is null & void & should removed. Given the vast sums of money I anticipate winning in 2019, I needed to have my prior entry voided & re-entered for payment in 2019 which likely resulted in the second listing on the sign-up list. I'm not even sure how many entries we have at this point. Rob Giese emailed me & Greg that he wants in on the league and, as I stated earlier, since he was in the league but bowed out at the last minute for Max last year that he should have a super priority claim to entry the same as a prior owner. However, Greg ignored that rather important detail and gave the spots to Feschuk & Reed. Apparently, last year's owners had until Dec. 31st to reclaim their spots otherwise it was open on a first come, first serve basis. That was a rather arbitrary deadline in my opinion imposed by the powers that be that no one explicitly agree to. And nothing against Feschuk & Reed as I was in another $400 DC with them & they seem to be eminently qualified & solid drafters (read: quick & engaged) & would be solid additions to the league, however, since this is considered a "private" league hosted by the NFBC, we (read: MAX) should dictate the rules of entry and who is & who is not in. I am not in charge of this league nor do I want to be but someone needs to step up & figure this out but Rob should be in with Feschuk & Reed next on the waiting list. Are you in or out Mike?

Sorry Coz, I just copied and pasted the last signup wrong on this list. You had nothing to do with being listed twice. That was my fault.

Here's the signup list for this invitational draft and we'll keep this date open for a second $1,000 Draft Champions League:

NFBC $1,000 4-Hour Draft Champions League 2
Max Ogden Invitational League
Starts Monday, Feb. 18th, 1 pm ET
15 Teams, 50 Rounds, 4 Hours Per Pick
Pay Top 3, $8,000 to 1st Place, $30,000 to Overall Champion

1. Gregory Doyle
2. Max Ogden
3. Jason Kraft
4. David Einhorn
5. Joseph Rodriguez
6. Daniel Bronski
7. Christopher Cosley
8. Andy Robinson
9. Scott Feschuk
10. Michael DeCavalcante
11. Leonard Ringle
12. Bruce Bevacqua
13. nickolaus sackett
14. Rick Thomas
15. Michael Alloca

If Rob or Max want to dictate who gets in this league we can address this if we get a second league. Yes, Scott and Kris understood that if this league filled they would be in the second $1,000 DC. Still plenty of time to mix if needed, but we don't deny signups and when we hit 15 signups a league automatically fills. Nothing is done until KDS runs 7 days before, so plenty of time to do something if it's needed. And no, Rob isn't being punished for his Lions pummeling my hapless Packers in Week 17, either. 15 signups came in and 15 teams were assembled.

Keep the signups coming and hopefully we get two leagues on Feb. 18th just like last year.
