127 Spots Left In Dirty Dozens: Win $30,000 Grand Prize

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Fri Jan 04, 2019 1:48 pm

We announced today the NFBC Dirty Dozens prize format has been changed with the grand prize now at $30,000 and the league prize rising to $4,000. Our debut 12-team national contest has a few unique angles that we believe will be a hit with players. They are:

1) A max of 2 entries per owner.
2) The season ends on Sunday, Sept. 1st.
3) A $75,000 bonus for anyone who wins the Dirty Dozens overall title AND the NFBC Main Event.

Entry fee is $1,000 per team and we will finish with a max of 13 leagues. We'll update this signup list with each new signup, so grab your spot and be ready to become the first Dirty Dozens national champion. Thanks all.

Re: 166 Spots Left In Dirty Dozens: Win $50,000 Grand Prize

We have confirmed that there will be a $75,000 cash bonus for anyone who wins the NFBC Main Event overall title and the NFBC Dirty Dozens overall title. The insurance is higher for this premium because there will be a max of only 192 teams in the Dirty Dozen, but that's what makes the bonus so appealing. Should anyone win BOTH overall titles, they would receive a minimum of $200,000 in grand prizes, the $75,000 cash bonus and likely another $10,000 in league prizes. Not a bad $285,000 payday for $2,700 in entry fees.

Good luck all and let's see if someone out there really can win our 15-team overall title and our 12-team overall title.

Okay, today we looked over our NFBC Dirty Dozens contest again and decided it was time to make some changes with the prize structure. We are still fully behind this limited-entry contest, but it's obvious that our current structure wasn't appealing enough. We are NOT abandoning the Dirty Dozens, but give us a few more hours to finalize things and we'll have an announcement shortly.

I will personally reach out to the 20+ owners who already have signed up to show them the new prize structure and hopefully everyone will agree that the new structure is an even better one. But everyone who already signed up for this contest is allowed a full refund if they want one. We also will be looking for your feedback on this new structure. Thanks all.

First off, I can definitely tell you that the league prizes are improving. We heard from enough people that the $4,500 in league prizes wasn't enticing enough, even though the grand prize was nice. So we're adjusting that. We will raise league prizes to:

NFBC Dirty Dozens League Prizes
1st Place - $4,000
2nd Place - $2,000

We will reduce the number of teams overall, so give us a bit to finalize that number. And we'll still have the $75,000 cash bonus for winning both the NFBC Main Event overall title and the NFBC Dirty Dozens overall title.

There still is a max of 2 teams and next year we hope to limit this to a single-entry contest. That's why we are behind this contest. We really think a limited-entry national contest is needed in the season-long industry and we want to be the first to provide it.

Okay, stay tuned. An update is coming. Thanks all for your support and patience on this one.
