This one didn't fare as well since 13 owners all had No. 1 as their first preference. The average KDS preference received was 6.8, which isn't much better than a full random selection. Two owners got their top preference, but only five owners got a Top 4 preference. Picks 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 got picks at the back, where nobody else wanted them. Good luck all.

Same for this league as 14 owners had Pick 1 as their preferred draft spot. The average KDS preference received was 6.73, again just slightly above a random selection. Only one owner got their top preference, but eight owners did get a Top 4 preference. But picks 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 got picks they didn't want, a trend we are seeing in 15-team leagues.

1,2,10,9,3,4,8,7,6,5,11,12,13,14,15

Similar results here as the average KDS preference received was 6.73 as 13 owners had No. 1 as their first preference. Five owners got a Top 3 preference, but picks 11, 12, 13 and 14 got among their lowest preferences. Here's one league where pick 15 was actually desired by a couple of owners, with one owner getting that pick as his third preference.

I don't like to post for other members, but I thought what KJ Duke tweeted out yesterday about our Main Event draft spots was interesting. I'm stealing this from KJ's Twitter account because he deserves credit for this info.

From KJ Duke:

NFBC KDS analysis. Based on posted KDS preferences for this weekend's main event leagues... 11 of every 15 owners changed their draft slot preference from the 1-15 default.
Among those changing from default ... 78% still wanted a top 2 pick.
However, slot# 7 and 8 were the next two desired draft spots, while slot# 3 and 4 fell to middle of the pack.
Translation, after Trout and Betts, drafters don't see a meaningful edge between the next 6 ADP players (J Ramirez, JD Martinez, Acuna, Turner, Arenado and Scherzer).

After “scoring” a #15 on the first Main Event, I went for #8 on the second one; I got 9.

That had little to do with the players available in the first round; it was about diversifying my choices/availability in the first few rounds.

When I try to game the second round like that, inevitably someone unbelievable falls to the early third round.
