All are 'chatty'. All are timely.
One fella took 20 minutes and apologized that he was in a meeting.
Twenty minutes!
Darned nice!
'Meetings' are the number one excuse for being late or timing out in drafts.
It just sounds so darned important to have been in a 'meeting'.
Even if deciding between an injured Lindor or semi-injured Bregman, it 'sounds' a lot more important to say you were in a meeting.
Besides, nobody wants to admit that they were actually deciding between two players!
No macho there.
One of the fastest drafters I know always blames 'meetings' for any tardiness.
Either that, or he was driving.
Everybody knows who I am talking about

Driving may be second on the list.
We can't expect drafters to draft while driving after all. That wouldn't be safe!
What kills me is when somebody is up and they take the time to text..."Driving, can't pick"...
First of all, don't tell us that! Just Drive!
Second of all, if you could type that in, you could hit your 'Draft' button, right?
As a whole, whether in a one hour, two hour, or four hour draft, we as drafters are an impatient lot.
Meetings or driving don't fly for some.
SuperMan could build a wall for Trump, unearth Jimmy Hoffa, and prevent an airplane from crashing, saving 150 lives, but if timing out while doing it, drafters would still give him a ration of shit.
It's just the way we are constructed.
In this draft, a newcomer to DC's asked how much he should use 'auto'.
Another drafter responded, 'As much as possible'.
I brought up the eight hour drafts from our past and told a few stories about them.
There are a lot of good memories from the NFBC past. Eight hour drafts were NOT one of them

One thing that has not changed over the years is the time given in chat...
'Two minutes' or 'Couple of minutes' really means five minutes.
'Give me a few' means it could be as much as 10 minutes.
'Be home to pick in 10 minutes' means that it could take half an hour.
We think it'll be the time listed. And we're nice for letting everybody know.
But, time slips away, making us liars.
It's alright though, we know the code.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go to a meeting (checking in on my draft)
