We topped the 300 teams mark in the NFBC Main Event today, a number that has a lot of significance to those of us who have been around since the debut season of 2004.

In 2004, our $100,000 grand prize was based on 300 teams. We finished with 195 teams -- 13 leagues -- and still guaranteed the prize pool.

In 2005, we gave it another try and sold out all 300 teams. It was the first of 14 consecutive sellouts of the NFBC Main Event leading up to this season. We grew to 375 teams by 2007, 435 teams by 2010 and we topped 500 teams for the first time last year.

We've never been at 300+ teams by February 18th, so let's keep things rolling. We expect to top last year's 510 teams and sell this contest out for a 15th straight year. Keep the signups coming and secure your spot soon in the industry's signature baseball event. Good luck all in the battle for the record $7,500 league prize and the $150,000 grand prize.

600 would be a nice round number. The 510 is annoying since it makes the average in a category 255 and for some reason it's a hard number to remember. 600 x 10 = max 6000 pts, average 3000, would be simple and awesome!

We're closing in on 350 Main Event teams today and already have 89 teams in Las Vegas. That leaves us with one guaranteed spot in the 6th full league at Park MGM that Saturday morning. That is going to be a very cool setup.

We do have space for a 7th league in that room, but grab one of these last spots if you want to be guaranteed a spot. I think the best is yet to come, but why wait. Get in now!!

NOW 380+ teams in the NFBC Main Event, leaving us with just fewer than 160 guaranteed spots. If you want to get into the New York or Online Main Events on Saturday, March 16th you'll need to secure those teams by next weekend. Once we sell out those current leagues, we will shut off those leagues on Registration.

Okay, I've just finalized the Presidio Grand Ballroom layout for Saturday's Main Event in Las Vegas at Park MGM. This is going to be a great setup as we are using every available inch of the ballroom for these 7 leagues. We can't fit another U in this room, so when we sell out this 7th Main Event League we are done for that day in Las Vegas.

When we sell out Monday and Wednesday that will put us at 540 teams. Then we'll see if the Tuesday Main Event Online also gets a push, which is likely.

However, we still have some work to do. We can't move forward with three unfilled leagues, so we need to take care of business with these three leagues and get to 555 teams and 37 full leagues. Registration is still open for Tuesday and Wednesday Main Event leagues, but they won't last long so don't sit around.
