NFBC Mid-Season Contests Are Available Now

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Mon Jun 17, 2019 12:55 pm

Okay, after several years of skipping the NFBC Mid-Season Contests we are ecstatic to announce that we will again offer these private league contests. And best of all, these contests will be Draft Champions leagues rather than FAAB leagues to ease the workload after the All-Star break.

We are offering two sets of contests that are called the NFBC All-Star Break leagues. We are also offering two price points: $150 and $250. And we are offering three draft nights: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday July 8-10. There is one MLB game on Thursday night (why did MLB choose to schedule just one game on Thursday???), so no drafts that night.

Okay, here's the format for the Mid-Season Contests:

NFBC All-Star Break Contests:
Draft Dates:
Monday, July 8, 8 pm and 10 pm ET
Tuesday, July 9, 8 pm and 10 pm ET
Wednesday, July 10, 8 pm and 10 pm ET
Wednesday, July 10 9 pm ET ($250 league)

Cost of Entry: $150 and $250

Prizes:
$150 = $1st Place Earns NFBC 2020 Main Event Entry
2nd Place Earns $300

$250 = 1st Place Earns NFBC 2020 Main Event Entry + $500
2nd Place Earns $750
Third Place Earns $250

League Size: 15 Teams, 40 Rounds
Format: Draft Champions, No FAAB, 5x5 Rotisserie

All leagues will accumulate stats from Thursday, July 11th until the end of the MLB Regular Season (which includes any tie-breaker games). We will limit rosters to 40 players (not 50 like regular season DCs) and the draft lobby will have timers at 55 seconds per pick. There is a 400 IP minimum for these leagues. Simple enough.

Here's the rules for the $150 and $250 contests, which are located under the Satellite banner in Contest Overview:

These contests are available on Registration now and we'll close out leagues once they are full. We have only one date at this point for the $250 contest (Wednesday, July 10 at 9 pm ET), but if you have any requests or additions please let us know. Thanks all and enjoy.
