Okay, we have a room block secured at Park MGM in Las Vegas from Tuesday, March 17th through Friday, March 27th. We have a limited number of rooms set aside per night, but as long as there are rooms available they will expand our room block. The room block will end on February 17th, so secure your rooms now, especially at these great prices.

Like every other hotel on the Strip, Park MGM charges a Resort Fee, but they lowered it to $32 a night for us. That includes free WiFi, access to the Spa and more (but mainly it's just a damn tax  ). Here's the room costs without the Resort Fee per our room block:

Monday, March 16th - Park King $125
Tuesday, March 17th - Park King $125
Wednesday, March 18th - Park King $69
Thursday, March 19th - Park King $69
Friday, March 20th - Park King $69
Saturday, March 21st - Park King $139
Sunday, March 22nd - Park King $169
Monday, March 23rd - Park King $169
Tuesday, March 24th - Park King $49
Wednesday, March 25th - Park King $59
Thursday, March 26th - Park King $59
Friday, March 27th - Park King $59

Remember that First Weekend of March Madness is Thursday, March 19th-Sunday, March 22nd. Sweet Sixteen and MLB Opening Day starts on Thursday, March 26th. If you've never stayed for MLB Opening Day, I highly recommend it. Fifteen baseball games that day and four Sweet Sixteen games gives you a lot to bet on and a lot of action to watch. It's fantastic and worth a vacation day, trust me!! :D

Thanks Greg.

Forget about the price, the water pressure is worth the price alone.

If you know you're coming to Las Vegas this year, please secure your rooms early at Park MGM if possible. I know we have a lot of folks who have already secured rooms and on a couple of days during the weekend we are close to our allotment of rooms they set aside. They said they will keep additional rooms open for our room block as long as they are available, but these rates are so good that they won't last long.

I've secured my rooms already and can't wait for March Madness to come (mainly because that means winter in Wisconsin will be half over then  ). Get yours while you can. See you there.

So I did contact Park MGM about this and yes more people have already booked for that date than we had rooms set aside. I've asked them to keep rooms for us and they've honored all of the prices so far except this Wednesday, which is listed at $149 online but she's keeping it at $95 for us. Again, secure your rooms as soon as you can because this is going to be a very, very busy weekend in Las Vegas and some hotels (like the Bellagio) already have full conference events lined up with all or most of their rooms secured. Take advantage of these great prices at Park MGM while you can. Thanks all.

Hi Greg

I want to come but can only come for a few days, saying that when will the schedule come out so I could logistically see what days would work best to book.

Sounds good. The weekend schedule in Las Vegas for March 19-22 is very similar to last year's, which you can see here:

https://nfc.shgn.com/venue/46

Saturday, March 21st Main Events will start at 11 am PT this year. Thanks to our electronic draft boards, these get done so much quicker and thus we no longer need 6 hours in between the Main and the 4 pm PT auctions and drafts. Hope this helps.

I'll post the schedules for each contest and city location next week and the site will be live in less than two weeks. See you in Las Vegas.

An extra hour to recuperate from Friday night!

Still have nightmares about that late arrival. ONE AND DONE.

Okay great, but this link takes us to the 2019 schedule of events. Looking forward to having the schedule posted and the ability to sign up for these contests for both NY and Vegas ASAP. I do have a question about the scheduling of the MTM Ultimate in NY on Friday 13th which has been traditionally backed up against several high stakes auctions prior to it pushing it to a 15 minute cushion between drafts for some of the competitors coming over from those drafts. Obviously this isn't ideal on several levels, especially the stress on the competitors and how late it pushes the Ultimate finish until near midnight. Maybe something can be discussed on the scheduling to for the day to help with this.

Al, it works. It's these Message Boards that are the problem. Archaic.
Copy and paste the link and use it in another window.

Psyched for the Sunday 22nd 10am auction. The Saturday discounted price is $139 vs $195 for the regular rate. However, the discounted price for Sunday is $169 vs $101 for the regular rate. Any help with this? I called the hotel but they were of no help.
P.S. The $30 Spa day add on makes the wife happy otherwise ide be in the doghouse. Just win baby.

Yup, the Sunday rate via the “discount” is shit. Book that night directly through the hotel.

Haha okay Thanks. Ill book Saturday and play Sunday by ear. Maybe hit up Ceasars or somewhere else for a different experience. Sunday night around town prices are pretty low.

Monday, March 16th - Park King $125 $79
Tuesday, March 17th - Park King $125 $92
Wednesday, March 18th - Park King $69
Thursday, March 19th - Park King $69
Friday, March 20th - Park King $69
Saturday, March 21st - Park King $139
Sunday, March 22nd - Park King $169 $73
Monday, March 23rd - Park King $169 $79
Tuesday, March 24th - Park King $49
Wednesday, March 25th - Park King $59
Thursday, March 26th - Park King $59
Friday, March 27th - Park King $59

I found cyber monday rates that are better than what Greg has already got.
Sunday Mar 22 and Monday Mar 23 are about $100 better. Booked on MGM Park website and member of Mlife which is free to join.

Just an FYI: I am working with Park MGM officials now to secure more rooms in our room block at our advertised prices. Apparently we've surpassed the number of rooms we had asked for on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and the price of our rooms went up exponentially. Last year the rooms kept becoming available at our price through mid-February, but that didn't happen this year.

Give me a day to square this through with Park MGM and hopefully we'll have more rooms on March 19-22 at the advertised rates. The good news is that we have a LOT of NFBC owners staying at our host hotel and it's going to be a fun, fun time. But don't delay if you want these great prices because Park MGM is already advertising them at 2 and 3 times their price outside our room block. Damn.

Greg - I already went ahead and booked Saturday and Sunday night directly through the parkmgm website. Their rates were far better than what was posted via your link.
