The 2020 NFBC Season Gets Underway On Wednesday!....WE ARE LIVE

Are you ready for some baseball?
We have a Game 7 tonight in Houston between the Nationals and the Astros, with the winner becoming the World Champions. What a great way to end this season. Good luck to fans of both sides.
We are ready to flip the site from 2019 to 2020 and will do that early next week. Look for Registration to launch on Wednesday with drafts starting as soon as we fill up the first $150 Draft Champions League. I'll start to post the contest Rules and Prizes this week on the Message Boards so that everyone can prepare for the season ahead.
We have few changes to the existing contests. Entry fees have not changed. Prizes are very similar (expanded a little in some of our national contests). Rules are exactly the same, with the exception of minimum innings pitched in the Platinum and Diamond being moved to 1,100. We are projecting more growth in the existing contests and looking at a few possible new games to come later in the drafting season. NFBC Guillotine Leagues is something we are seriously looking at along with another cool concept.
It will be first-come, first-served for the NFBC $150 Draft Champions League when we open Registration, but feel free to post your desire to be in one of the first leagues here and we'll try to help you out when the site launches. We are excited to get the site live sooner than ever before and can't wait to launch our 17th NFBC season.
17 years!!!

It's amazing how far we've come as a community, as an industry, as players, as game operators. It's been a fun ride and the best is yet to come. Join us for the next journey on this ride. See you soon.

I believe as of today there are 146 days until Opening Day!!
I did a countdown with photos of players who wore that number on the NFFC boards last year, starting from 100 to 1. I may try that this year on the NFBC boards as there are several players who wore numbers from 99 to 1. Could be fun.

We're going to tweak some of the New York times for Saturday and Sunday's events. Saturday's Main Event will start at Noon ET and the $1,400 Auction will begin at 5 ET. This will help the auction players get done a little sooner on a Saturday night which is nice. Sunday's Main Event will begin one hour later at 10 am ET with the $1,400 Auction also starting one hour later at 2 pm ET. Greg insisted he needed an extra hour's sleep on Saturday night so there you go.
Friday's times will remain the same:
9 am ET - $1,400 Auction
2:30 pm ET - $2,500 Auction
4 pm ET - $1,400 Auction
8 pm ET - Ultimate

In Las Vegas, just a couple of changes:
Saturday, March 21st Main Event starts at 11 a.m. PT. The Online Main Event that day would also move to a 2 pm ET start time.
On Sunday, March 22nd, the schedule change will be:
Diamond Auction at 10 am PT
Diamond Draft at 4 pm PT
We will still have a $1400 Auction Championship on Sunday at 10 am and the Main Event on Sunday at 4 pm PT. We'll still offer a Main Event Live in Las Vegas and Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 5 pm PT.

Greg, thanks for listening and making all the adjustments on the draft start times particularly the Main Events. In reference to the Main Event offerings, what will the schedule look like the week after the NYC and Chicago drafts? Is the plan to have the live Thursday night Mains out in Vegas on Thursday the 19th as usual? And will there be any other live and/or on-line draft offerings that week leading up to the weekend drafts? Thanks in advance for the heads up.

Also, will there be 'early signing up' discounts and email discounts like the NFFC?

I'm with the developers now and we are finalizing an upgrade overnight after the Monday Night Football Game is completed. We'll have a good idea on the launch time after that is done. We'll post on the boards once we know.

There's some final testing that needs to be done so the plan is for the site to go live on Wednesday. Apologies for the minor delay but there's no reason to fret. Everything will be ready real soon and everyone anxious to begin drafting will soon be able to do so. Hang in there and we'll announce tomorrow here and in our newsletter when the site goes live.
