Crazy Like a Fox - I GUARANTEE I WILL WIN MY SATELLITE

First place in my league so far. 107 points.

All you NFBC Main Event players who dogged my team were completely wrong. I could have grabbed all of these players in the Main Event as I "reached" for most of them so the argument that I'm facing weaker competition isn't completely valid.

I had many people say the best I could finish was 7th or 8th after seeing my draft.

I know how to play this game as good as anybody. I will win my league this year and meet you guys in Vegas in 2008.

It's amazing that people who "know" fantasy baseball need to punch in their numbers into some formula to figure out if they had a good draft.

After my draft I heard, "horrible draft", "no high risk/high reward players", "dead meat".

Well, you will all eat those words.

This 5x5 stuff is easy.

Try an 11x11.

I know there will be people that say this is a long season yada yada, I don't care.

I GUARANTEE I WILL WIN MY SATELLITE. Period. End of story.

PAY ATTENTION EVERYONE. March 28th satellite. Crazy Like a Fox. This is how it's done.

Right now, punched my stats into Main Event standings - would be 46th place.

The thing is, my offense has been REALLY cold the whole year. It just started heating up in the last week.

My e.r.a. and whip are 3rd out of 375 Main Event players.

I know my competition is weaker. I know, I know. Don't want to hear it.

My point is, according to a prominent member of your forum, I "reached" on almost all my players making it very realistic that I would have a team in the Main Event that strongly resembles my current team. I also understand that managing a team effectively (and managing your dollars) are a major key in being successful.

For someone who has been called "the most abused person this forum has ever seen", I think I deserve an apology from each and every one of you who absolutely dogged me (should I win my satellite league) this year. Which I will. It's a given.

Since I was 5 years old I was memorizing numbers on the backs of baseball cards, I love baseball, the numbers, the history. I really believe that everybody is good at atleast one thing in life. And fantasy baseball is mine.

This 5x5 system needs to be changed IMHO. We need on-base percentage added to the mix as well as maybe losses for pitchers. A 7x7 league for the best of the best, shouldn't be THAT tough.

Anyways, sorry for the rant. Just having a good time proving everybody wrong.

Fox, you may or may not win your vaunted league. If you do congratulations will be in order.

But to place emphasis on what DiamondKing already pointed out very effectively, April is just that...April. Anyone with your "experience" should already know that....

If you feel abused, you set yourself up with comments like this. If you do not like the feeling of people responding in kind to such strong statements like the one you just made, then don't make them.

Good luck but if you cannot stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen.

Every time I see/read a post like this, my first instinct is to try and write something clever back to Crazy Fox. But then I think better of it, as that is just what he wants. I reserve my opinions for Main Event participants.

But then I start thinking, and I actually get mad at Chest, for fanning this fire in the first place. So for every Crazy Fox post, I blame Chest. Each year in the NFBC is a learning experience. This is one for Chest, if you walk into a room with a grenade, the best case scenario is that you walk out the room with the grenade. Moral of the story, Don't walk into the room with the grenade in the first place.

Looking forward to Las Vegas in 2008.

Crazy Fox, hope we are in the same league. Maybe I can also get a little more attention.

Best of luck the rest of this season. Although I don't think you need it. ;)

Commonalities of my two year old grandchild and Fox/Dog-

1. The constant need for attention.

2. Always crying when scolded.

3. By watching Mighty Mouse, they feel like they ARE Mighty Mouse.

4. They think that one month is like six months.

5. Both will say the words, "Look at me, Mommy!" at least five times a day.

6. They both like their New York Yankee pajamas.

Differences in the two year old grandchild and Fox/Dog

1. The two year old knows that he will have quite a few tumbles during the coming five months.

2. When leading his three year old brother 1/6 of the way at Candyland, the two year old will not proclaim victory on the internet.

3. The two year old would probably like Chest Rockwell.

4. The two year old KNOWS he has a lot of growing up to do.

I would like to make a formal apology for making a complete azz out of myself.

You guys are right. End of April is a REALLY bad time. Immature....yes, I hate to admit.

I have to learn that you prove things with your play, not your mouth.

Got a little carried away, to say the least.

Just want to be one of the best and hate to hear anybody question me. Sometimes I say things more so to challenge myself, but there is a lot of anger I hold inside for all the negative things that have been said to me in these forums. I need to channel that into more constructive ways.

I will prove myself, but I'll do it with my play.

You won't hear me on these boards the rest of the season. I stuck a huge foot in my mouth and it's going to take a long time to dislodge it.......lol.

Sorry guys.

Sorry guys. Apparently, a $100 satellite league is much cheaper than professional therapy. Unfortunately, I don't like the odds of this one session lasting a full season.

Greg:

I thought you had an age limit for these leagues? I think one slipped through the cracks.

PS Crazy Like A Fox: your posts are comical and I enjoy them. The level of competition in that $100 league is tougher than any other NFBC league. I agree that we should go to an 11 x 11 format next year. Maybe we can include balks, catchers interference, and pickoffs.

You know, you all sound like a lot of bitter old men.

Can't handle a little competition?

Look it up, before the season even started I guaranteed a top 3 finish. Yes, I was bragging about my team before the season started.

Now that we have a month under way, I can see that my pitching assessments have been right. My offense has struggled but that is sure to change. D-Lee with only 1 homer. Jeter with 2 homers, V-Mart with 2 homers, Aurilia with 0 homers - Kent with 2 homers - Blalock with 1 homer -

My offense will surely catch up and when it does, look out.

I believe to have 5 Main Event players in my league currently. I will beat all of them this year.

I was bragging in March, I'm bragging in April and I'll brag in May if I want to. Did you get pissed off and upset when Broadway Joe guaranteed victory being the biggest superbowl underdog (at the time) in the history of football?

I'm pretty sure not one person could say anything negative about his guarantee when he came thru.

I will come through this year with my guarantee.

I never saw such an angry forum.

You guys really need to lower your medication.

You are the Barry Bonds of fantasy baseball. Get off your high horse and xxxx xxx and the horse you rode in on.
