NOW ONLY 52 DAYS UNTIL 2020 OPENING DAY!!! Football is done, so now it's all about BASEBALL!!

After 19 illustrious seasons in Major League Baseball, CC Sabathia retired at the end of last year with 251 wins and a 3.74 ERA. He led the AL in wins twice and in complete games twice, finishing with 3,093 strikeouts.

NOW ONLY 51 MORE DAYS UNTIL 2020 OPENING DAY!! Are you ready for some baseball?

Randy Johnson throws out the first pitch today and it's high and tight to a left-handed batter!! Imagine John Kruk patting his heart after seeing that 101 mph fastball coming toward his head. Johnson pitched 22 seasons in the major leagues and finished with 303 wins and 4,875 strikeouts during a Hall of Fame career. He led the league in strikeouts nine times, with five of those seasons having 300+ K's.

NOW ONLY 50 DAYS UNTIL MLB OPENING DAY!! That's right, 7 weeks from tomorrow the 2020 MLB season begins.

While he wasn't Sid Finch, Sid Fernandez was real and he put up some good numbers for fantasy owners. Sid pitched 15 seasons in the majors and won 114 games with a stellar 3.36 ERA. He finished with 1,743 strikeouts and 9 shutouts, while earning a World Series ring with the 1986 Mets when he went 16-6 with a 3.52 ERA.

NOW ONLY 49 DAYS UNTIL 2020 MLB OPENING DAY!! Seven weeks from today our season begins!!

It's a shame that we have to use a grainy, black-and-white photo to highlight the most famous No. 49 ever. Ron Guidry was so good that he won the Cy Young Award in 1978 while leading the Yankees to a pennant, while twice leading the AL in wins and ERA. He even had his number retired by the Yankees. He was as good a lefty as I ever saw, that's for sure.

NOW ONLY 48 DAYS UNTIL 2020 MLB OPENING DAY!!

We'll let Torii Hunter introduce this as he was great for 19 seasons. Hunter finished with 2,452 hits and had 20+ HRs in 11 seasons and twice had a 20-20 season. He was solid with Minnesota, the Angels and Detroit.

NOW ONLY 47 DAYS UNTIL 2020 MLB OPENING DAY FOR ALL 30 TEAMS!!

Tom Glavine throws out the first pitch today as he was a first ballot Hall of Famer who won two Cy Young Awards and finished with 305 wins through 22 MLB seasons. His career ERA was 3.54 and he finished with 2,607 strikeouts while NEVER topping 200 Ks in a season. Pretty amazing.

We honor this day by calling Lee Smith in from the bullpen. The Hall of Famer finished his 18-year MLB career with 478 saves, 71 wins and a 3.03 ERA. He also struck out almost one batter per inning as a dominant closer.

NOW ONLY 45 DAYS UNTIL 2020 MLB OPENING DAY!!

Bob Gibson was one of the most dominant and most feared right-handers in the game, so it's only right that he throws out the first pitch today. Gibson won 251 games during 17 MLB seasons and finished with a career 2.91 ERA while striking out 3,117 batters. He also led the league in shutouts four times, including 1968 when he had THIRTEEN shutouts. He also had seven seasons of 20 or more complete games, including 28 complete games in 1969.

NOW ONLY 44 DAYS UNTIL 2020 OPENING DAY!! Are you ready for another season of record-breaking home runs?

What better way to commemorate this day than with a record-breaking home run photo of Hammerin' Hank, to some STILL baseball's home run leader. He hit number 715 with the Atlanta Braves, but he will always be a Milwaukee Brave to me as he led the Braves to the 1957 World Series title. Aaron finished his career with 755 home runs, a .305 average, 2,297 RBIs, 6,856 Total Bases and 3,771 hits. Amazing.

NOW ONLY 43 DAYS UNTIL 2020 MLB OPENING DAY!! I can see the finish line right now with only one eye!!

In today's game when Saves are so hard to find, it's great when you can find a closer like Dennis Eckersley. He was a Hall of Fame pitcher who finished with 197 wins and 390 saves. He led the majors in saves twice, saving 45 in 1988 and 51 in 1992. He had eight seasons of 30+ saves and four seasons of 40+ saves. Boy do we miss closers like The Eck.

NOW ONLY 41 DAYS UNTIL 2020 OPENING DAY!!

We honor the day with one of the greatest pitchers in MLB history, Tom Seaver. Tom Terrific won 311 games over 20 MLB seasons, while finishing with a stellar 2.86 ERA and 3,640 strikeouts. He led the league in strikeouts five times and had 249 or more strikeouts in five straight seasons (1970-74).

NOW ONLY 40 DAYS UNTIL 2020 MLB OPENING DAY!!

Bartolo Colon has played in the major leagues for what seems like 100+ years, so he makes perfect sense to represent this day. And although he was an accomplished pitcher, this hitting picture is the most appropriate one for him!! Enjoy the one and only Bartolo Colon.

NOW ONLY 39 DAYS UNTIL 2020 MLB OPENING DAY!!

The great Roy Campanella was one of the best catchers in baseball history and in 1953 he led the league in RBIs with 142. He did that in 144 games as he hit .312 with 41 Home Runs and an OPS of 1.006. He made his MLB debut in 1948 at the age of 26 and played 10 years in the majors. You can only imagine what his numbers would have looked like had he been allowed to reach the majors earlier.

NOW ONLY 38 DAYS UNTIL 2020 MLB OPENING DAY!!! Are you ready for your upcoming drafts?

We allow Curt Schilling to throw out today's first pitch as this potential Hall of Famer won 216 games with a 3.46 ERA over 20 MLB seasons. He's known for the bloody sock as he helped the Boston Red Sox win the 2004 World Series in a year in which he went 21-6 with a 3.26 ERA. He was a gamer, no doubt about that.

NOW ONLY 37 DAYS UNTIL OPENING DAY!! Who's ready for some baseball?

This one is a personal favorite because I had Dave Stieb on my very first fantasy team I owned and he was a stud for me in 1988, 89 and 90. During those three years he went 41-22 with a 3.10 ERA. Damn, he was good. He led the AL in Innings Pitched twice and in 1982 he led the AL with 19 complete games!! Think about that for a second.

NOW ONLY 36 DAYS UNTIL MLB OPENING DAY!! That also means only 36 more days of "sign stealing" debate until we see regular season baseball again.

We've tabbed Hall of Famer Gaylord Perry to throw out today's first pitch because he knows a thing or two about cheating! Perry pitched 22 years in the Major Leagues and he won 314 games among eight different franchises. He won a Cy Young Award in each league and he struck out 3,534 hitters, many of them using a little Vaseline to make the ball move!!

2020 MLB OPENING DAY IS EXACTLY 35 DAYS AWAY -- FIVE WEEKS FROM TODAY!!

We call in the "Big Hurt" to make that announcement as the first-ballot Hall of Famer did serious damage to the baseball during his 19-year major league career. He was a two-time MVP who finished with 2,468 hits, 521 home runs and 1,704 RBI. He led the AL in RBI four times and had 100 or more RBIs in eight straight seasons from 1991-98. He was a fantasy star for sure.

NOW ONLY 34 MORE DAYS UNTIL 2020 MLB OPENING DAY!!

Who better to throw out the first pitch for today than Nolan Ryan, the strikeout king. Nolan pitched for 27 seasons and he was still striking out MLB hitters at the age of 46. He finished with an MLB best 5,714 strikeouts and he led the league in strikeouts 11 times. He struck out 300 or more batters in a season six times -- including his last one at the age of 42 -- and he struck out 200 or more batters 15 times. He finished with 324 wins and a 3.19 ERA. Amazing and one of the best pitchers ever.

NOW ONLY 33 DAYS UNTIL 2020 MLB OPENING DAY!! Are you ready for some baseball?

Let's lead off the day with one of the best switch-hitters in all of baseball. Hall of Famer Eddie Murray played 21 years in the majors and finished with 3,255 hits, 504 Home Runs and 1,917 RBIs. He also hit .287. He was the Rookie of the Year in 1977 and he twice finished runner-up for the MVP Award.

We allow Sandy Koufax -- one of the greatest left-handers in MLB history -- to throw out the first pitch today. Koufax pitched 12 seasons in the majors and during his last two seasons he went 26-8 and 27-9. He finished his career with a 165-87 record and a 2.76 ERA with 2,396 strikeouts in 2,324 IP. Wow, what a career.

We have asked Greg Maddux to throw out today's first pitch because nobody is more reliable to throw a strike than this first-ballot Hall of Famer and four time Cy Young Award winner. Maddux led the league in ERA four times and he won 355 games, most of any pitcher in the last 50 years. He finished with a 3.16 ERA while striking out 200 batters in a season only ONCE. Amazing.

NOW ONLY 30 DAYS UNTIL 2020 MLB OPENING DAY!! Have you drafted that winning NFBC team yet?

Hall of Famer Tim Raines was one of the very best leadoff hitters in MLB history. He finished with a career OBP of .385 as a leadoff hitter and he finished with 808 career stolen bases. He also led the league in stolen bases four straight years (1981-85), accumulating 317 stolen bases during that time. In 1983, he led the majors in stolen bases with 90 and Runs with 133 while hitting .298 with 11 HRs and 71 RBIs.
