NOW ONLY 77 DAYS UNTIL 2020 MLB OPENING DAY!!

Hall of Famer Joe Medwick wore number 77 for two years during his time with Brooklyn (1940-43). He was a 10-time All-Star, the 1937 MVP and he finished his career with a lifetime .324 batting average. His nickname was also "Ducky", which is pretty damn cool!!

NOW ONLY 76 DAYS UNTIL THE 2020 MLB OPENING DAY!!!

You're going to have to trust me on this one because I can't find a backside of SS Jose Iglesias when he first started with the Boston Red Sox. But he wore number 76 for one year before heading to Detroit in 2013, where he wore number 1. We have a long way to get to 1 day away from Opening Day, so let's honor 76 with Jose Iglesias right now:

BARRY ZITO SAYS THERE ARE ONLY 75 DAYS UNTIL THE 2020 OPENING DAY!!

Zito is the perfect person to announce this as he spent 15 seasons in the majors while winning 165 games and finishing with a 4.04 ERA. He had five complete games while pitching his entire career in the Bay Area, either for the Oakland A's or the San Francisco Giants. What a great left-hander he was.

KENLEY JANSEN SAYS THERE ARE NOW ONLY 74 DAYS UNTIL THE 2020 MLB OPENING DAY!!

Kenley Jansen has 301 saves in 10 seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers, including three seasons of 40+ saves. He's been consistent in an inconsistent role, but we'll see if he can manage for one more season.

NOW ONLY 73 MORE DAYS UNTIL THIS YEAR'S OPENING DAY!!

Ricardo Rincon wore number 73 with a number of MLB teams during his 11-year career. He finished with 21 wins and 21 saves, but never became a big factor in fantasy baseball. But he's the best of the best who wore number 73.

CARLTON FISK SAYS THERE'S NOW ONLY 72 DAYS UNTIL THE 2020 MLB OPENERS!!!

Fisk spent 24 years catching in the Major Leagues as he collected 2,356 hits and 376 Home Runs. The Hall of Famer also drove in 1,330 runs. He's most famous for his Home Run in Game 6 of the 1975 World Series with Boston, but he did spend the majority of his career (13 seasons) with the Chicago White Sox.

NOW ONLY 70 DAYS UNTIL THE 2020 MLB OPENING DAY!!

George Kontos rings the bell on this date as he spent eight years in the major leagues with four different organizations. He finished with 18 wins and 2 saves, which may explain why he continued to wear number 70. He was never a fantasy pickup, but he serves his purpose on this day.

Bronson Arroyo wore No. 61 throughout his career with Boston, Cincinnati and Arizona, but when he first came to the majors he wore No. 69 with Pittsburgh. He went 9-14 during three seasons in Pittsburgh before heading to Boston and winning a World Championship with the Red Sox. He topped 200 innings eight times, won a Gold Glove and made an All-Star team, all of course, as No. 61.

DELLIN BETANCES TELLS US THAT THERE ARE ONLY 68 DAYS UNTIL 2020 OPENING DAY!!

Betances missed almost all of last season to injury, but before that he spent six years in the majors with the New York Yankees, striking out 621 batters in 381.2 innings with 36 saves and 21 wins. He's a strikeout machine in a strikeout game.

NOW ONLY 67 DAYS UNTIL THE 2020 MLB OPENING DAY!!

We kick this day off with Francisco Cordova, who saved 12 games as a rookie with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1996 before becoming a Starting Pitcher. He went 13-14 in 1998 while pitching 220.1 innings and posting a 3.31 ERA with 157 strikeouts. He pitched two more years and then was out of the majors. That can happen in baseball.

NOW ONLY 66 MORE DAYS UNTIL 2020 OPENING DAY!!

Who better to announce that then the enigmatic Yasiel Puig, the guy who licks his bat for good luck. Puig is a 7-year MLB veteran who has hit 20+ homers in each of the last three seasons. He will have a new home this year as he's currently an unsigned free agent.

Scot Shields pitched for 10 seasons in the major leagues, collecting 44 wins and 21 saves. In 2004 -- the first year of the NFBC -- he finished with 10 wins and 7 saves. Did he help anyone win an NFBC Main Event league title that year?

Todd Jones likely won a few fantasy titles for owners during his career as he finished with 319 career saves. He wasn't flashy, but he got the job done for the Tigers as he led the majors in saves in 2000 with 42. He had two other 30 save seasons for the Tigers before finishing his career with Minnesota, Colorado, Boston, Cincinnati, Philadelphia, Florida and then Detroit again.

NOW ONLY 58 MORE DAYS UNTIL 2020 OPENING DAY!! The start of the new season is fast approaching everyone!!

Let's start this day with closer Jonathan Papelbon, who won a World Series title with the Boston Red Sox in 2008 after leading the majors with 41 saves. That was part of a seven-year stretch in which he had at least 30 saves each year enroute to a career total of 368 saves and 41 wins. Pretty solid.

The great Johan Santana throws out the first pitch for today. Damn, was he good with Minnesota and he was on a Hall of Fame pace before arm injuries shut down his career. He led the majors in 2006 with 19 wins and he led the majors in ERA three times while making 33 or more starts in five straight seasons. He finished with a 139-78 record and a career 3.20 ERA, striking out 1,988 batters in 2,025.2 innings. So good.

Orel Hershiser had 18 marvelous seasons in the major leagues, winning 204 games with a career 3.48 ERA. He led the Dodgers to the 1988 World Series title when he won a major-league high 23 games with a 2.26 ERA and 8 shutouts with 15 complete games!! Think about that as we approach today's game. WOW.

NOW ONLY 53 DAYS UNTIL THE 2020 MLB OPENING DAY!! From Super Bowl to MLB Opening Day, we have 53 days inbetween.

Bobby Abreu is the perfect player to announce this message today. He was a fantasy star who played 18 seasons in the major leagues and twice was a 30-30 man. His best season was in 2004 when he hit .301 with 30 homers, 105 RBIs, 40 stolen bases and 118 runs. That would make him a Top 3 overall pick in today's game. Bravo Bobby.
