While you're making my latest appearance on this pod a must play on your daily commute today, how about tuning in later tonight on Sirius XM when I will be making a guest appearance with Adam Ronis and Lisa Ann at 10:30 p.m. EST? I'll be talking NFBC and in particular the MTM Ultimate Draft coming up in NYC on Friday, 3/13 which is also airing that night on Sirius XM. Adam will again be reprising his role of celebrity guest facilitator for the draft this year. So be sure to tune in, and there is no seven second delay! ;)

Pushing 400 listens already and shooting for 600+ for this latest episode! If you haven't heard this one yet, you are seriously missing out! Truly an epic compilation of fantasy baseball brilliance mixed with just the right of amount of off-the-hook, no-holds barred trash-talking, insights on life, and my subliminal plans for world domination all rolled into one little show! 8-) And working on lining up a possible celebrity guest for the next one as the infamous MTM brand begins to take the fantasy world by storm...whatever the fuck that counts for. "In studio" again this weekend with @zackroto for my next appearance, so be sure to be caught up by then! And thanks for listening and all the feedback. Please go to wherever you can review podcasts and review this one if you can. It will be a big help to us. :D

Just laid down the latest guest appearance of what is sure to be another instant classic for release sometime later today! Few were spared this time around. Topics included a generous portion of fantasy baseball talk, rants, and raves, with draft and player commentary; along with such subject matter as The NFL Scouting Combine; The Coronavirus leading us into NFBC extinction; Scott Pianowski of Yahoo Sports strikes again!; Some of my best reviews about me and the show yet; Draft etiquette and draft shitheads; "Eric Heberlig, we have a problem."; FAAB and fucking up; Zack doesn't know that Lisa Ann was a porn star in her previous life; and an 80's movie line contest that could cost him dearly...just to name a few! 8-)

So take a listen and be sure to shoot us a review wherever this type of completely off the rails fantasy baseball entertainment is reviewed, won't you? I'll post the link here as soon as I have it, but look for it dropping on Twitter @draftchampagne as well. And you might want to think about popping a few sedatives in advance if you'll be driving or operating heavy machinery while listening.

It's out! Need I say more? Now you know what to do. Enjoy! And don't forget to post all of your wonderfully kind, warm, fuzzy, and politically correct feedback you can about the show here and also wherever podcasts are reviewed. I would think not Yelp, however*. (*Listen to the show)

A few updates since the release of the latest pod: A bunch more positive reviews; several death threats; a vial of liquid sent to me through the mail labeled "Coronavirus: Do not open until Christmas!"; more follows on Twitter than I can keep up with; but as much as I love all of my new found, adoring fans, please refrain from DMing me for draft critiques and player advice at all hours of the morning. To make things easy: 98% of your drafts blow, and you probably made the wrong player choice before asking me.

So if you haven't listened in yet, there is a little something for everyone to get fired up about. And who doesn't need a little spike in blood pressure every now and then? Well maybe except for those of you pussing out on traveling to NY or Vegas for the live events due to fear of contracting this year's Black Death. :P

Getting revved up for the next recording and release leading into the live drafts next week in NYC. I may even do a bonus live show while I'm in town with @zackroto who has been forced to pay NFBC reparations due to this last episode. So if you haven't as yet experienced the verbal assault and neurological overload of this latest episode, I would like to strongly suggest that you do! 8-)

Locked into seclusion with your wife or significant other driving you insane? Kids doing the same? Starved for some of THE BEST fantasy baseball entertainment content that you'll ever hear? Wondering what you're going to do with yourself for the next couple of hours that isn't related to drinking, drug use, porn, or further preparations for The Apocalypse? Well then, you've come to the right place! This episode has been brewing for the last couple of weeks, and exploded last night as I unloaded with a vengeance all of my pent up frustrations on poor @zackroto for two plus hours of some of my best on air havoc and chaos yet...completely apropos for these times! So load up, sit back, and enjoy! No hand sanitizer needed as I discuss the end of civilized society as we know it, conquest, war, famine, plague, college drinking, my first coronavirus zombie killing, the 2020 MLB Season, plenty of player talk, my new role as "The Godfather of the NFBC", and much, much more! Check back here for the link as soon as it's released and also on Twitter @draftchampagne. 8-)

It's out for everyone's enjoyment and/or outrage! Like it, love it, or even hate it, feel free to post all your comments here for some lively banter, but please reserve the death threats for social media and my immediate family members only. And of course, reviews on any platform that supports this podcast would be greatly appreciated since everyone has plenty of time on their hands right now...unless of course you are either infirmed or worse with The Trump Virus, in which case you can just wait until you recover (or not) to write something on our behalf. Thanks!

The perfect remedy for your stir crazy, shut-in existence right now...either that or it may just be what puts you over the edge!

Thanks to everyone who has been listening in when I make my special guest appearances on the Draft Champions Podcast. All of your kind reviews and positive feedback, as well as your disgust and outrage have been greatly appreciated. I am queuing up for another episode soon, so if you haven't yet caught the first of "The Apocalyptic Episodes" yet, you're really missing out. @draftchampagne on Twitter and the link is also posted in this thread for you to listen on whatever platform you would like that's currently carrying it.

But here's a never-before released (by me at least) special treat for those of you who particularly enjoy the entertainment aspects of the pods that I do: The stories, the banter, the sarcasm, the dialogue, my insightful opinions and observations on life, the ripping on just about everyone and everything including my hapless co-host, and other various and sundry stabs at humor all packed into one show that was done way back in early 2007 when podcasting was still in its relatively infancy; I was still barely with my first wife; George W. Bush was still president (and we all thought that was bad ); the technology we had available to us was pretty laughable by today's standards; Myspace was still a thing while Facebook was a whole five months old to the general public...You get the idea.

It all started during my insane college years (which I have alluded to on the current pod) in the mid-eighties as a campus radio show with my old friend and college roommate, Frank, who you have to hear and get to know to believe as two more opposite people never formed a more unlikely friendship. It was then resurrected as an attempt at a premium podcasting venture with results that were as explosively engrossing and entertaining as they were cataclysmic in the end. Here's the link to "The Anything But Monday Show" or ABM Show. About a day's worth of material generously spread out over eight episodes when you'll get to hear The Godfather/MTM at his absolute off the rails best or worst depending upon how you look at it. Listen and enjoy...I mean what the fuck else is there to do right now? I'm sure you won't regret it, but maybe I will...

I think this may be fast becoming the next big MTM jam by bringing this show back in syndication. Only took a world pandemic, universal boredom, and mass seclusion to make it happen.

Don't forget! Today is the big Fantasy Baseball Podcast Bracketology Tournament on Twitter (whatever the hell this proves), so be sure to vote for your favorite: Me @draftchampagne of course! I believe we go in like an eight seed or something. Must have been that late winning streak I put us on during the regular season. We'd more than likely (barring a massive upset) be taking on Paul Sporer and his Sleeper & The Bust Podcast who is the #1 seed in the Acuna Region if we make it through the first round. Now that would be fun! So let's make it happen. 8-)

This is amazing stuff, Mike....I mean the Godfather....dare I say brilliant. Listening to you & your old college roommate re-hash college stories is a trip & has really helped me get through this pandemic. You really need to rekindle this because I'm left wanting more. I didn't think you could top the Draft Champions podcats but you never cease to amaze me with your brilliance & intellect. Thanks for sharing & your 34+ replies encouraging everyone to listen.

Hey COZ! Thanks so much for listening. Glad you enjoyed the shows. I consider myself extremely lucky to have met you through the NFBC, and I'm so thankful for your kind friendship and support in all of my ventures both inside and out of fantasy baseball all the years. You are a true friend and a wonderful human being. I was actually waiting on you more than anyone else to hear positive feedback on the Anything But Monday shows. Now I can die in peace. :D

Revving things back up as we will soon have MLB back and NFBC high stakes events both live and on-line to follow! 8-) In case anyone missed it, I began my latest public relations and good will podcast and public relations tour yesterday with a couple of brilliantly entertaining segments on SiriusXM Rotowire Fantasy Sports Today Farm Friday with Clay Link and James Anderson. Good dudes who obviously recognize talent and therefore finally caved to have me on. Great time talking the NFBC, fantasy baseball, and my usual shit. Be sure to catch the show on demand if you missed it yesterday, and I'll be back on the air next week with Adam Ronis next Thursday on his show, so that should be a blast as well. And as soon as I can get my Canadian sidekick, Zack Roto out of his semi-retirement malaise, I have a solid 90 minutes lined up and ready to go with him which will include the epic Lisa Ann meltdown incident when she completely loses it for no apparent reason on yours truly. And instant classic! Stay tuned!

From what I’m hearing on the July 10 podcast the experts like Chris Liss are getting a free entry when they participate in a draft using their name such as the RotoWire “Beat Chris Liss” league.
Was there some announcement to back up that assumption? Who was it that made this idea public?
Seems like NFBC might give them $25 or $50 off as an enticement but it sounds crazy to kick back the entire entry fee.
Where’s the evidence?

Try Again. Having trouble posting. I think it's great that they do the "Beat Expert" leagues. Think of the exposure that NFFC / NFBC gets. You can't listen to a podcast for 30 minutes without hearing some reference to the NFBC contest or NFBC ADP, etc. Love it. Maybe next year for the "Beat Deadheadz"?

We have a marketing deal with Rotowire.com and several other industry partners to help us bring in new players. This shouldn't be foreign to you or anyone else, but it's called a marketing budget. We pay them an agreed upon amount of money and they in turn agree to have some of their top writers/broadcasters play in our games, using that same marketing money back with us. It's amazing, isn't it?

So if I give Rotowire.com tens of thousands of dollars per year to promote and advertise the NFBC and NFFC and NFBKC and NFHC and they in turn return thousands of dollars to have their writers have skin in the game, that's their call. They don't have to do that, but they want their guys competing with the best and learning from the best. It makes the whole industry wiser and bigger.

We do this with other companies too. I mean, how do you think we've grown from 231 NFBC teams in 2004 to over 15,000 teams in 2020? It's called marketing and IT'S NOT FREE!!! We spend tens of thousands of dollars per year per sport doing that. And again, those companies choose through their deal or after our deal to spend right back with us if they want to. They don't have to, but they do. Some companies are too afraid to have their writers compete against the best players in the industry because "it can only harm their reputation", which is ridiculous. Give those guys who do compete in our contests and go on the air to talk about their successes and their failures credit for doing so. And give their companies credit for allowing them to do it.

Now back to what you were doing.

Please don’t take my post as a complaint, I was more irked about the podcast host “assuming” the Beat Expert leagues were hurting the integrity of the contest since the Expert was playing for free. I’d never thought of those leagues as anything but fair.
Maybe he’s trying to stir controversy?

No idea who the host of this podcast is you're talking about, but stirring up the pot without knowing the facts seems stupid at best. Anyone who works with us is earning their marketing dollars by bringing in new customers or we wouldn't be stupid enough to work with them.
