This party is really starting to get interesting with some of the industry's finest beginning to trickle in! Now you can personally come and meet Paul Sporer and his PS4 that evening. He'll be the one alone in one of the bedrooms of the suite playing MLB The Show on one of the TV's while throwing back a few Shirley Temples. Still room for more, so let me know if you want in, and please keep the funds coming. Appreciate it! :D

You can add Alexander Krivosheev to the list. He's a West Coast guy who will try to be ready early in the morning (his time) to draft.

This guy is everywhere! He wants in for the party out in Vegas as well as the $1000 DC?! :? He's welcome to take a spot in the Midnight Madness Draft, too. Have one guy who may not be there live that night who would cede his spot for a live party drafter...all though "live" is a relative term based on the condition most of us are in for this draft.

Wow! Just updated the party list and 2020 by far will be the best year ever for this AWESOME NFBC social event. :D 8-) Less than FOUR WEEKS away now until we will all be convening in Vegas for a night of fantasy baseball debauchery and alcohol with just the right amount of Midnight Madness Drafting thrown in. 8-)

We are getting closer every day to the big night at the Bellagio, and the list of attendees of what will be the biggest party yet out in Vegas this year is now pushing 50 including all guests, escorts, and significant others. So if you're on the list, and don't see a little "pd." in parenthesis next to your name yet, that means YOU STILL OWE ME MONEY!!! So if you would kindly see to getting me the funds, I would greatly appreciate it. :D

Mike,

As a further attraction, I have been reliably informed (by a former NFBC Champion no less) that you are intending to wear your favorite (you have so many) "I am HOT for MAMA JUNE" tee-shirt at the party. Can you confirm or deny?

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Party Guest List has been updated once again. I need all final party fees if you're on this list by the end of this weekend so that I can finalize the billing for the catering with the Bellagio next week. Much appreciated and looking forward to seeing everyone just THREE SHORT WEEKS FROM TODAY! 8-)

Virtually 100% paid off now and everything is in place for the big night of festivities at the Bellagio! Truly a labor of love every year, but well worth every bit of the time and effort on behalf of the NFBC. I'm sure my check is in the mail. Looking forward to seeing everyone on the 20th! Keep checking in up until the day of for the suite number and where to go which I won't have until check in at the earliest either the 19th or the 20th; but as soon as I have it, you guys will. If you need to reach me, most of you have my cell number and can text me at any time. PM, DM, or email me if you need my number. I can tell you it will definitely be in the casino tower, and that there will be an elevator attendant with a sign there ("MTM NFBC PARTY") to bring everyone up who is on the guest list. Festivities get fully under way starting around 9:00 p.m., but feel free to come by earlier from like 8:00 p.m. on if you would like to get an early start on destroying your liver and your lungs. 8-)

Holy shit, will you look at the ever-growing list of "celebrity" attendees for this year's bash! :o People just don't want to miss out on THE social event of the weekend out in Vegas now just 15 days from today! 8-) 8-) 8-) Looking forward to seeing everyone there. :D

I will begin to process all refunds for the party this evening for those of you who have not already previously contacted me who I may have taken care of to date. I cannot begin to express the level of massive disappointment and borderline depression I'm experiencing as a result of the NY and especially the Las Vegas NFBC events having to be cancelled. One of the things that I look forward to most each year is seeing all of you, and getting to
meet all the new people who I have never met before other than via DM's, texts, calls, drafts, etc. The amount of time, energy, and emotion (not to mention money) I have invested in the NFBC and all the drafts and events that I have worked on to promote and fill for the last six months has been immense as always. And to have everything now be for naught is just indescribable. The more I talk and write about it, the more frustrated, aggravated, and upset I get about it all. Hopefully there will be baseball, and hopefully there will be drafts including live events somehow, someway. But for now, it's just the agonizing wait and see approach as we are all at the mercy of all this insanity going on right now. Until then, be safe and be well.

Mike, I didn't get a chance to reply to your text yesterday, but let me say publicly here that I feel your emotions. Like me, throwing a party or cool live event is a thrill and a rush for me. I know it is for you too as anyone can run an online contest or compete in online drafts. But it's being the host of a cool live event or a cool live party that just is so special.

And we really had the MTM Ultimate League set up as high profile as ever with SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio planning 4 hours of coverage and promoting on air throughout the week. They were excited to interview defending champion David Einhorn and for the first time this year Tout Wars wasn't starting until Saturday, so a lot of industry writers wanted to pop in and watch part of this league. Heck, they even had our room ready to go when we got to the Stewart Hotel, so it was like going to a wedding reception and the bride took off before the vows!!

And we basically got the last Lake View Penthouse Suite at the Bellagio, which was a stroke of luck as you had a record number of NFBC guys scheduled to attend there at the Bellagio. It's just amazing that we went from "game on" to NCAA Tournament CANCELLED in like 24 quick hours. And it's even more amazing that we have no idea when life will get back to normal again.

As I said in another post, never say never. I can't promise a live Ultimate League yet this year and we have no idea if the Stewart even has space on whenever the hell MLB starts up again, but let's all just be vigilant and flexible. We'll see what comes out of this. Let's get some truthful facts about this virus, let's tackle it with all the might a world super power has and let's kill this bastard. Then we can play ball.

So once again, as much as you and I go back and forth on rules discussions, league discussions, event discussions, promotion of our contests, etc., and even though most times it results in butting heads, let me publicly say THANKS from Tom, Darik, myself and management for all the effort you put into these two events. You had them set up perfectly and we were ready to host them. Record numbers in New York City and Las Vegas in our 17-year history and it's now all for naught. Hopefully we can still draft this year and next year we'll all be live again for the MTM Ultimate League and the MTM Midnight Madness. Keep the faith.

Thanks Greg. Greatly appreciated this. All I can tell you is that if we do have baseball and the NFBC is up and running again, hopefully in the nearest possible future, I will be the first in line leading the charge to help the Phoenix rise from the ashes. 8-) And there WILL somehow, someway be live events especially the MTM Ultimate (so you better be ready to get Sirius back on it as soon as we are a go again :D ). I truly believe that there would be plenty of die-hard fanatics like I am who play this game and would want in for high stakes live events in addition to as many leagues as you could get back up on line. Until then, I will continue to suffer through this layoff from baseball, both fantasy and reality, until I can again be around the drafting table with some of the best of the best competitors and people I have ever gotten to know.

On another note, all of the refunds for the Vegas party have been processed either via PayPal or Venmo depending upon how everyone sent me the funds. If I missed anyone, please reach out to me to let me know. It was the most miserable 30 minutes of my already completely miserable weekend.

yeah this sucks in ohio were on total lockdown closed the damn casinos! no poker no sports this has been a terrible weekend. all I got is the gym almost drive to Michigan to play cards. but then I thought what a great time to deep clean the house. I'm only doing a solo shot but if I can swing it I'd definitely do a live event. a weekend in Chicago or somewhere would be easy on short notice for a guy on the midwest. but heck vegas with the low fares may work as well.
