$75,000 Cash Bonus: Main Event And Rotowire OC

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Sat Feb 15, 2020 11:37 am

We are happy to announce again this year that we are offering a $75,000 cash bonus to anyone who can win both the NFBC Main Event overall championship AND the Rotowire Online Championship overall title. This is our way of giving the very best owner of our 15-team signature event and our 12-team signature event a little more incentive to play both.

Think about it: Someone could turn $2,050 worth of entries into over $350,000 in prizes!!! That would include the $150,000 grand prize in the Main Event, the $125,000 in the Rotowire Online Championship, the $75,000 cash bonus PLUS league prizes, which could be another $8,400.

But it won't be easy. We should have 600 Main Event entries if not more. And we should have over 2,200 Rotowire Online Championship entries if not more. So whoever can do this will EARN the $75,000 cash bonus and we'll be more than happy to give it out (because it's an insurance policy)!!

And while the odds are long, don't think it can't be done. We've given out this $75,000 cash bonus twice already in the last 10 years. Lindy Hinkelman did it the very first year we offered this $75,000 cash bonus as he won the 2009 Main Event and the 2009 Online Championship during its debut season. Chad Schroeder then won a $75,000 cash bonus by winning the NFBC Primetime and the Rotowire Online Championship. Both of those were 12-team contests and he won them both.

So it can be done. It's definitely tougher this year with the increased number of teams in each contest, but you can't win if you don't enter both contests. John Pausma almost did it in 2018 as he won the Main Event and finished third in the Rotowire Online Championship, so we know it can be done. That cash bonus is out there just waiting for someone to do it, and like I said, we've already paid for the insurance policy, so we're rooting for someone to win it. :D

Good luck all and enjoy.
