Final Day For NFBC $150 Draft Champions 2-Hours - March 12

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Fri Feb 21, 2020 8:52 am

Okay, this has been the most successful Draft Champions season in NFBC history. You folks started drafting right after the World Series and it looks like you aren't going to stop until Opening Day. We like that!! :D

We are closing in on 3,000 total teams in this contest and should sell it out easily. The quicker formats of 4 hours, 2 hours, 1 hour and even 30 minutes per pick has been well received and these 50-round beasts are getting done quicker than ever before. It also helps that we've reduced the 4 hour and 2 hour drafts in half from Rounds 31-50.

So it's time to plan when we'll wind these down and finish with just DC Express Leagues. Let's take the last 4-Hour $150 and $400 Draft Champions leagues on Thursday, March 5th. That's 21 days until Opening Day and is more than enough time to finish these leagues. We will start the last 4-Hour drafts no later than Friday, March 6th, so plan accordingly.

The 2-hour drafts will probably wind down around Thursday, March 12th and then we'll wind down the 1-hour and 30-minute DCs the next week. We have scheduled Draft Champions Express leagues every night over the last two weeks, so you'll still have plenty of ways to compete in this fun and tough 50-round Draft Champions format.

It's amazing that we could have more than 250 Draft Champions leagues this year, but it's a great format for learning the player pool, avoiding FAAB every Sunday night and still winning good prize money. Thanks all and happy drafting over these last 34 days before Opening Day.

I think Heberlig has 1,000 of those 3,000 teams!

In all seriousness, I remember when it was 8 hours per pick and only 8 hours. The dark ages of the DC format.

You’ve made some great improvements to the DCs over the years and it’s a luxury now to have all of the options we have. No better place to draft.

Okay, just a reminder that Thursday, March 5th will be the final day to join NFBC $150 and $400 4-Hour Draft Champions leagues. We are having a record year in this format and I think we'll go beyond expectations and be able to add some love to the overall prize pool. We will shut these 4-hour DCs off on Thursday and continue with Express, 2-hour, 1-hour and 30-minute DCs.

Last call for what has been an unbelievable 4-hour Draft Champions campaign. Thanks all.

Okay, all good things must come to an end, so let's plan accordingly for the NFBC $150 and $400 2-Hour leagues.

We will close these off after we fill leagues on Thursday. That gives us 14 days to finish these, which should be more than enough. We won't start these after Thursday, so jump in now if you want to compete in this format. We will still offer 1-hour and 30-Minute $150 DCs after that, but only for a few days. It's time to transition to the nightly Express leagues.

Thanks all for a record-breaking Draft Champions season and best of luck in all your leagues.
