Orioles manager Sam Perlozzo made one of the more foolish moves of the season in the seventh, intentionally walking Casey Blake with one out to get to Hafner with the bases loaded in a 2-1 game. John Parrish managed to strike out Hafner, but the Indians went on to score three more runs in the frame anyway. In the eighth, Hafner again got to bat with the bases loaded against a lefty and he put the game away. It was his seventh homer of the year. USA TODAY.
Walked BLAKE to GET TO HAFNER in a ONE RUN GAME? OK, so it worked that time as they got Hafner out, but I thought you never give the superstars a chance to beat you....

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.
