Prizes Finalized For Debut NFBC Online Auction Championship

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Sun Apr 05, 2020 9:40 am

We introduced the NFBC Online Auction Championship this year for the first time and honestly we weren't sure how well this would go over. We had a modest $3,000 grand prize for this debut national championship and had a modest plan for the total number of leagues we'd fill in 2020.

But you surprised us in a big way and we finished with 28 full leagues for a total of 420 teams. We stopped offering these leagues a few weeks ago and are now offering StandAlone Online Auction leagues with just league prizes and those are filling as well. So we've proven that the online auction software is good enough to offer high-stakes leagues and we've proven that the demand is there for a bigger overall prize pool in the next year. All of that is very exciting.

The demand this year has allowed us to exceed expectations and create an expanded prize pool. We now are paying the Top 4 places $1,000 or more and have expanded the overall prize pool to 16 spots. So now if you finish in the Top 16 overall you'll receive prize money. Here's the new overall prize pool:
