Preparing for more potentially short seasons

Post by Deadheadz » Sun Jul 12, 2020 2:09 pm

There’s no guarantees about the 2021 season and even if COVID is conquered before 2022 we might be looking at a strike or lockout for that year.

Heck, when a new CBA gets agreed upon the “regular season” may forever be shorter than the 162 game marathon we’re used to until now.

Hopefully season long fantasy baseball providers including NFBC will look ahead and prepare contingencies for ‘21 & ‘22 as they approach.

When we look back on 2020 there will be those who hated the sprint and those who loved it. It’s great NFBC was already offering Second Chance leagues and perhaps they’ll dream up new contests based on a more compact and uncertain schedule.
