Once again a player that was called up on Saturday in the AL was not on the free agent list again Sunday. This is unacceptable, STATS HAS to be on top of this stuff. It is not our job to police the FA list every week.

Oops, that's Blanco from KC. Sorry for the confusion.

STATS will update the free agent list more regularly going forward, so a player who is called up on Saturday or even early Sunday will now be in the free agent pool. I apologize for not getting this corrected earlier. Anyway, here is the explanation for Blanco not being in this week's free agent pool:

From STATS: "We were running the program that updates the player pool overnight each night. This player was not entered into our system until Sunday morning, after the program that updates the player pool ran. We will now be running the program every hour up to 2 hours before the free agent bids are processed to make sure all players get added."

Greg, I thought you said STATS was going to be doing that last time after all the hub-bub about Cabrera?

I was on the same page as you, Andy. All I can say is that STATS says it will be done every hour going forward, which means I better not hear about this from you first again!!!

Just another stiff, he has no impact on this league...He is .200 hitter with no power and a little speed. Last I checked, the Cabrara guy was batting triple zeros.

as soon as Cabrera drives in one run or scores one run, he's a better option than Mark Ellis ;)

not too much to choose from in AL only
