Probable Pitchers on Lineup page

Post by Wolfpac » Mon Mar 29, 2021 8:05 pm

Will we have the probable pitchers show up on the lineup pages like years past, indicated by the baseball next to the game? That is very useful at first glance.

Yes we will. I assume that our stats provider is still waiting for that info from the teams for the first weekend. Heck, I'm waiting for that out here in Las Vegas so that I know who to bet on Thursday and Friday!! Once we get that info, I'm certain we will provide that icon again.

Not a big deal but would it be possible to have the multiple position eligibility stick out a little more on the "Set Lineup" page? Possibly bolding or even making the font on the positions a little larger. Small detail but something you might want to consider.

Thanks.

I'm making my lineups now.
There are a couple of things missing from last year.
As of now, we have two 'Save' buttons at the top of the page.
It was useful having a 'Save' button at the bottom of the page.

Last year, we had a prompt that reminded us about saving lineups when pressing the button on another team.
That was VERY useful.

Joe is right. The positions for multi-positioned players are listed in light type in front of the players name.
It'd be nice to have them behind the players names in darker type.

Thanks for all you can do!

Even the single eligibility players position should be listed on the lineup page. It appears that some are and some aren't.

Hi. I can see lots of starting pitchers on the mlb app but they aren’t yet noted in the Nfbc

The starting pitchers for this week's games are now highlighted in red on Set Lineup (opposing team is in red on the Schedule). Whether we keep it that way or add the baseball to that page will be determined later, but at least the data is there for you going forward. Enjoy and good luck all.

Just want to renew Dan's request above. Pretty sure he is right in that last season, if you made one or more lineup changes and attempted to leave the page without saving, there would be some prompt message reminding us to save our changes. It's not here now. I was just setting lineups for lots of teams and caught myself leaving a page without remembering to save my changes.

Thanks!

Someone also asked me via email if we can see starting game times for each player/team. Here's the answer from IT:

Team owners can see a player’s game time for each game in the scoring period on Set Lineup if they click on the opponent’s team abbreviation displayed below the player’s name.

This information has always been right there without the additional click. IT might want to re-visit. Also, please have all position eligibility where it's easily and clearly visible.

These would help.

I'd like to add one more thought. When setting lineups the start time is the lock time for each player. The current method of looking at lock (game) times needs to be adjusted.

Thanks.

FWIW, I thought it was much easier to see the probable pitchers when they were in RED. The new version with the light colored ball is very difficult to see at a glance. I'd vote to go back to red

Also I like the older setup where there was a bar between your hitters and pitchers in the starting lineup. It’s a little harder to see when it’s 23 names in a row.

+1 on the need to see the start times for each game on the Lineup page without any extra clicks. This was there last year and there is plenty of room for the game time right under the opponent name in the date columns.
