Rich Hill to the Mutts!

"Mets acquired LHP Rich Hill from the Rays for RHP Tommy Hunter and C Matt Dyer.
Hill's results and spin rate have gone down since the league began cracking down on grip enhancers. However, he's pitched well overall this season with a 3.87 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 91/36 K/BB ratio over 95 1/3 innings. He'll give the banged-up Mets rotation a boost."
So the (f.k.a. Devil) Rays are one game behind the BoSox and if they do not win the division, are in good shape for a wild card at least.
Maybe it is me, but when is the last time a team in the heat of a playoff run trade AWAY a starting pitcher? No team has that much starting pitching that they can trade it away while still in it. Are they that excited about Archer getting close?
