NFBC Message Boards

Greg Glassman of Brooklyn, New York leads a field of 100 teams as we head into Round 2 of the Championship Round for the NFBC Cutline Championship. We narrowed a field of 392 teams from the Championship Round to 95 teams and then added 5 more teams from the Wild Card Tier to bring us into Round 2.

This next round of the Championship Round will last three weeks and only 20 teams will survive the "cutline". Good luck everyone in the battle for the $75,000 grand prize.

Greg started the Championship Round in 74th place, but he jumped into second place during the shortened All-Star week and has been in the top spot each of the last two weeks. Peter Christensen is in second place, 54.1 points behind Glassman, with Bob Catsiroumpas, Aaron Jones and Bruce Carlson rounding out the Top 5. Less than a point separated the 95th and 96th place teams for a spot in the Championship Round. All 297 teams that were eliminated from the Championship Round go into the Wild Card Tier, where they still have a chance to jump back into the Championship Round for the vital Round 3 money round. Anthony Palavis and four other teams move back into the Championship Round for a shot at the $75,000 grand prize after leading Round 1 of the Wild Card Tier in points. We now have 100 teams left in the Championship Round as we enter Round 2 with Palavis being joined by Mark Epstein, David Gronsky, Paul Weber and Mike Dirkman. Good luck to all of you.

We also have 95 other teams still alive in the Wild Card Tier for Round 2 and all of those teams still have a shot at jumping back into the Championship Round for the money round three weeks from now.
