NFBC Message Boards

If you're interested in a "second chance" league for the second half of the season, the NFBC will be offering drafts during the All-Star break. All of the leagues with the exception of the $250 Don Mathis League will include just second half stats. The Don Mathis League DOES include stats from the first half of the season as a unique format for our players. This year there is a 600 IP minimum for the Don Mathis League and a 300 IP minimum for the rest of the second half leagues.



Here is the current signup list for each league as we'll fill these on a first-come, first-serve basis. You can sign up for these online by clicking on the Register link on the home page or by contacting Greg Ambrosius at [email protected]. We won't hit your credit card for any of these leagues until they are full with 15 teams.

I did not offer that for the mid-season league as I figured for half a season of competition providing a free entry in next year's main event would be more appealing. If I'm wrong, I'll add one more level of $100 mid-season leagues, maybe on Wednesday night. Sound good?

Greg - I did not see a $100 top 3 win money prize league for Wednesday, July 11; am I somehow missing it or did you decide not to offer that option?

I have not added that one yet. I can still do that.

Okay, we're slowly moving forward with these signups. We'll likely shoot for one league of each offered, so let me know if you want to participate in any of these leagues. Good luck to all who have entered so far.

Greg - I still do not see it on the list of mid-season offerings. Yeah, I'd say the signups are slow for all of these, so to offer another option doesn't make sense yet. If we fill up the July 11th $100 winner-take-all league, I'll then offer the one you want. But let's fill up one of these first and then plan on expansion. Sorry, but we still have time to do that if signups for these pick up.

Ahhh, the very quiet, very polite, new and improved DYV has resurfaced and signed up for a pair of mid-season leagues. He's even put his hat in the ring to take on Shawn Childs in the July 11th $1,000 league. Are there any other takers for this elite mid-season league? Welcome back to the fun, Dyv.

Thanks ... Nah, it would be too late to add that rule. I sure hope we fill this league as the data is awesome. But right now it's going to be tough to get 10-11 more teams.
