Brutal. Have some situational awareness, Gabe. And to be walking off the field while making the call like his supper was getting cold was an even worse look optics-wise. Really a bad way to end a historical division race and a great game. They need to have some sort of standard like it's PRESUMED to be a "checked" swing unless there is clear & convincing that he actually swung the bat not that he "intended" to swing or it crossed the plate or whatever it is their Umpires Manual says....should be a full swing or it's checked, period. The less judgement for these dunces the better.
