Draft Boards Now Available Before Rolling Over Site To 2022

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Mon Oct 18, 2021 12:34 pm

We just added a button under Draft Results that allows you to now see all of the Draft Boards from all 2021 NFBC drafts. Just go to Draft, pull down to Draft Results and to the right of where all of the leagues are listed is a green button that says "Draft Board". Click on that to see that league's draft board.

To change to other boards, just go back to Draft Results and pull down the green arrow next to the league that is showing and click on any other league you want to see. The Draft Results will show and then you can click on Draft Board to also see that draft board. You can now view 1,000+ NFBC Draft Boards through the Draft Results link.

I know it's late in the season to add this feature, but Glenn Lowy suggested it after our NFFC drafts and we found it was an easy feature to add. We did it there and now we've added all of the draft boards for NFBC owners, too. These will be available in April after all 2022 NFBC drafts are finished.

Now, those draft boards will only be viewable through the next two weeks as we will be rolling over the site to NFBC 2022 shortly after the World Series. The goal is to launch our next NFBC season in early November and to start hosting drafts right away. Unfortunately, once we roll the site over to '22, all of your '21 teams will disappear. Some of that information will be available under My Teams.

To find your historical NFBC data, just go to My Teams and pull down to My Historical Teams. If you click on Baseball in the green navigational bar, you'll see links to Overall Standings, League Standings and ADP/AAV. If you click on one of your team links from the team listings, you'll have access to your Final Roster, Final League Stats/Points and your Draft Results.

We do not save Draft or Auction boards, so if you want that information or if you want complete Draft Results, download those pages now. If you want any other information from the site, save that before the end of the month because much of it will not be saved by us for future use.

We look forward to starting the 2022 NFBC season after the World Series and we wish everyone good luck the rest of the way in the Post-Season Hold 'Em Contest. Thanks all and grab those draft boards now if you still want them.

This is great! Thank you. Two questions:

1) Can you add owner as well to the board? We can see it in the results but not on the board.

2) Glenn - can you ask for no game 163 inclusion?

So to make these all visible, they are public boards that don't contain owners' names. Sorry.

We had this survey already and the masses agree that any play-in game should be included. And you had every chance to come to the Westgate and buy buckets of beers for us, too, so you missed your chance to bribe us!!!

This survey?

1) The NFBC counts any play-in 163rd game into our stats and standings because Major League Baseball counts the play-in game as part of their regular season stats and standings. Do you agree or disagree that play-in stats from a 163rd game should be counted into NFBC league and overall standings?

Agree - 53%
Disagree - 47%

2) If the NFBC continues to count play-in stats from that 163rd regular season game, should the NFBC allow owners to change their starting lineups for that Monday game (or games) or should everyone's lineup for that extra week stay the same as it was the week before?

Allow Starting Lineup Changes - 56%
Keep Starting Lineups - 44%

Are auction values for each league available as well? I can't find them. The draft board that's shown is only the one with no dollar values. Even the ADP page is missing almost all auctions except for one.

No they aren't available for auction leagues. The Average Auction Value page is available, though and it is now updated.

Great, thanks Greg. I'll keep an eye out for those.

Hey nice catch JohnP.

I am in favor of using game 163 and I would also like to change my lineup if an extra game is necessary. Hopefully next season we have that option once again as it seems to be preferred by the majority of responding owners.

No, the masses actually did not agree. This was a blind survey the final results of which were never posted to my knowledge that I saw. And if the final tally was something around 55-60% at best in favor, that still leaves a ton of your client base not too happy about getting potentially unfairly screwed out of their money at the end of six months of work that they can do nothing to prevent unless luck alone falls their way. What is so difficult to comprehend about this? These games past 162 do NOTHING to make everyone happy and add nothing to the contest in the end but anxiety. I mean, isn't the MLB season long enough already as it is? You guys on the football side can't even get through a full season without cutting it short for your "playoffs/championship" sake. So for this, it's perfectly fine though to fudge the entire football season to make it work for your contest even though it doesn't mirror the true NFL season, but not MLB, God forbid!

If you did another survey that asked how many of your paying clients would greatly miss the games counting after 162 as it pertains to your contests, most wouldn't care or even notice. It wasn't a rule since inception, so it can easily not be a rule again. I think you are confusing the chaos and excitement that these "bonus" games may add to the MLB season, with thinking that they add the same benefit to your fantasy baseball contests which they do not...unless of course you're the one not getting douched over in the end and someone else is.

Just a reminder to download anything you want from the 2021 NFBC season before we roll over the site to 2022. We are prepared to do that the morning after we conclude and pay out our winners from the 2021 NFBC Post-Season Contest.

If the World Series ends tonight, we plan on launching the NFBC site on Thursday morning and will start taking signups for 2022 contests. We'll start hosting Draft Champions drafts as soon as those drafts fill. If the World Series ends on Wednesday night, the goal is to pay winners on Thursday night (giving Elias Sports time for any stat changes) and launching the site on Friday morning. Enjoy.

A few 2022 updates:

* We will allow starting lineup moves if there are any play-in games or makeup games on the Monday after Week 27.

* The Innings Pitched minimum will be lowered to 950 for all 15-Team Draft Champions leagues and to 1,050 IP for the NFBC Diamond, Diamond Auction and Platinum leagues. The Main Event and all other leagues will remain at 1,000 IP, including the NFBC $50 Draft Champions leagues.

* We are excited to announce that the grand prize in the 2022 NFBC Main Event will be increased to $175,000 and the grand prize for the Rotowire Online Championship will be increased to $150,000. The Main Event's entry fee will now be $1,750. The only other contest with an entry fee price increase is the NFBC Auction Championship, which now is at $1,500.

* We have signed contracts for the Stewart Hotel in New York City March 18-20 and the Sheraton Northbrook in Chicago March 18-19. We have tentative space hold at the Bellagio for March 24-27, with tentative space on the 23rd for the debut Contract League and Main Events on March 28 and 30 before Opening Day on Thursday, March 31st.

Enjoy the end of the World Series and look for the 2022 NFBC season to start later this week. Thanks all and good luck this season.
