Greg Glassman Wins 2021 NFBC Post-Season & $15,000

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Wed Nov 03, 2021 8:25 am

Greg Glassman of Brooklyn, New York won the 2021 NFBC Post-Season Contest and the $15,000 grand prize. Greg moved up four spots during the World Series that Atlanta won over Houston to top a record field of 401 teams. He becomes the fourth different winner of our NFBC Post-Season Contest in four years.

Greg finished with 1,079 points to edge Scott Jenstad by just 10 points for the top prize. Scott won $6,000 for his runner-up finish. Chris Fessler, our 2021 Rotowire Online Championship winner who had led this contest after Round 2, finished third, while Jeff Cook and TD Linhart rounded out the Top 5. We paid the Top 20 teams in this contest. Greg played in a handful of NFBC Cutline Championship leagues this year, but this title proves that he's ready to step up his game in 2022.

This was a fun, fun contest that rewarded teams that correctly predicted the top players on the World Series teams. Greg had three Astros and two Braves compiling 3x in the World Series and that helped him move up from 5th place after Round 2 to the top spot. We will wait for final Elias scoring changes today before posting all prizes on Player Accounts later today. Congrats to all of the winners and thanks to everyone who played in this contest.

Here's our list of NFBC Post-Season Hold 'Em Contest national champions:

2015 - Alan Greenberg, $25,000
2019 - Kevin Kulp, $20,000
2020 - Jason Duponte, $15,000
2021 - Greg Glassman, $15,000

We didn't offer this contest in 2016 because we were in the midst of being sold by STATS and in 2017 and '18 we didn't quite have the software ready for this particular contest. It's great to see it back on solid footing with sold software and this one will be around for many years to come. Thanks all.
