Great job Dan- congrats on the great week and moving to the lead. You and Mark may battle along with a couple of other guys until the last day of the season for the 100k.

The Gwynn item will make a great gift for your grandson.

Thanks Kent. You read my mind. Cole will enjoy having a HOF'ers jersey on his wall. Coincidentally, his picture was in the local paper this morning. He's just about to turn third base on the way home in his t-ball game. Awesome.

If he knew his baseball like Grandpa- he was going back to 3rd b/c a voice went off in his head that said never make the 2nd out at home, plus we have Timmy Lowenstein on deck and Timmy has been red hot lately.

Grandpa (Thankfully not pictured) was sending him from the third base coaches box.

Timmy had an ouwie on his hand from climbing on the dugout fence. The band-aid may have interfered with his natural swing.

Let's see if I got this right. Doughboys wins the overall week and lands in first place in the overall standings on the same day. As well as being in 1st place in LV4, and the March 6th $250 Sat League. Oops, I almost forgot the Shawn Childs league too. Tell us the truth Dan, is it the Rocky Mountain spring water, or is it simply that you just enjoy living at high altitude?

I gotta tell you, I've developed this crick in my neck from staring up at you in the standings of our shared league's (Shawn too if you want to know the truth), for what seems like forever. I'm off course icing it and treating it as a day to day condition. I can only hope that I don't end up on the 60 day DL!

Great Job Dan, your friends on the eastern divide tip our caps to the 'Wizard of the Western Slope'. (Yes, I know that it's early and even Wizards will have their bad days, nevertheless I expect that by the time th 'Fat Lady' clears her thoat you'll have plenty to smile about.) Good luck the rest of the way.

Thanks Bob, You're too kind.

It's great to have two Coloradoan's in the overall top 10. Your team is scary good. Any team with Pujols, Ichiro, Bay, and Fielder as its nucleus should be outlawed.

We'll have to catch a Sky Sox game together. I'm boycotting the Rockies until ownership starts doing the right thing in regards to their team and more importantly, their fans.

I'll PM you the next time we're headed your direction. Good luck and congrats for getting into the top 10.

Dan Kenyon spoiled his family. The first weekly winner ever in the NFBC back in 2005, Kenyon’s success in that opening week resulted in a constant question from his wife Mitzi, his twin daughters Mandy and Valerie and even his grandsons Cole and Wade.

“Did you win anything this week?”

Such is the price of success.

Two years later, Kenyon can again reply to the query in the affirmative. Thanks to some big offensive weeks, Kenyon’s Doughboys team in Las Vegas League 4 led the way in the NFBC last week with 3,299.5 points.

Alfonso Soriano's resurgent bat (.433-4-8) led the way offensively while Cubs teammate Felix Pie (.323-1-7-3), Prince Fielder (.500-2-4) and Casey Kotchman (.533-2-6) also delivered at the plate. On the mound, Dan Haren and C.C. Sabathia combined for 29 strikeouts and Antonio Alfonseca had three saves.

“Trying to get across how hard it is to compete against 375 of the best players in the country is fruitless,” said Kenyon, who lives with Mitzi in Grand Junction, CO. “It's a kick to participate against 375 of the best fantasy players in the country. And a privilige to watch Greg's idea blossom and become THE fantasy place to be. Greg and Tom's continuing customer service and open ears to new suggestions sets the NFBC apart from all other sites.”

Total team production was the key to Kenyon’s big week.

“A big key was getting at least one home run from 10 of 14 offensive players,” he said. “On the pitching side Dan Haren and CC Sabathia are pitching as well as anybody in baseball and they both had two fine starts. The only problem I had during the week was shoddy management leaving Jorge Sosa's eight shutout innings on the bench along with Ryan Church's .348 average and five runs scored.
