Things I've learned in the NFBC so far......

Wow, this is a whole new experience. Rough start to my satellite. I'm not doing as well as I would have liked. But I've learned a couple things. Study the minor leagues. Sounds simple? Like, duh? Well, I had no idea how important.
I didn't even know how many starters to relievers I should carry coming into the draft. Kind of important. Maybe I should have used this forum a little better.
Another thing is money management. I've already used 65% of my free agent money. Not a smart thing. That's the kind of desperation that gets you 7th place. Patience is key. Money management is very important. Other than draft, most important thing I've noticed in being successful is taking chances on potential. I saw Reggie Willits sitting there on the FA. I thought to myself, "Garrett Anderson comes back in 6 weeks, don't bid too high." It's that kind of resistance that can hold you back. You can't wait for these guys to perform to make a decision on them. You've got to predict before it happens to some extent. That's probably the biggest difference between NFBC and Yahoo. You can't wait for a guy to get hot for 2 weeks to pick him up. You've got to spot potential before that potential comes to fruition.
Lots to learn in the NFBC. I'm struggling in my league more than I would care to admit, but I'm learning as I go.
