SOLD OUT: New Private League: Modified Auction Keeper/Empire League

Post by Darik B » Sat Mar 12, 2022 8:52 pm

We have 1 spot left in this league that we are using as a test format for possible 2023 public leagues. Auction is Sunday 3/13 at 3 pm ET. Most of it is just like anything else on NFBC. Below are the "parameters" If you are interested, please email me ([email protected]) and I can get you the link if you want to take part. Thanks in advance.

The WidowMaker

*15-team Modified Empire using Auction and Keepers
*$300 entry each season per owner; $3,000 paid out yearly in league prizes, $1,500 to empire pot each year
*To be crowned empire and take down the pot, you must win TWO (2) in a row, or for a THIRD time at any point
*Standard NFBC Rosters & 5x5 Rotisserie scoring

Rosters:
*50-man rosters with no FAAB (no in-season pickups)
*No trading players
*$260 "budget" for auction portion which you use to acquire 23 initial players
*Remaining 27 players selected in serpentine-style slow draft with 1-hour max per pick

Auctions/Keepers:
Every third year we will have a full auction with all players back available to be purchased by everyone (Y1, Y4, Y7, etc..)

*In the two "in-between" years you will keep a MINIMUM of 7 players and a MAXIMUM of 10 player and we'll have a modified auction due to the keepers. These players will be loaded into the auction the next season at their new prices and be part of your $260 budget.
ANY player acquired the prior year in the reserve round (24-50) will cost a flat $10 the following season…if you kept 10 reserves, it would cost you $100 total & you'd have $160 to spend in the auction

Any players kept from prior year auction, will have a $ amount added to his prior price on a sliding/ladder scale ASSIGNED by you.
*For instance, if you keep 6 players from prior year auction, you add $1 to one, $2, to one, $3, to one and so on up to $6 to one (since you kept 6 players from prior year auction)
(Note: if you kept 8, you assign $1 up through $8)..and remember, YOU get to choose who to add what dollar amount to
