2,388 Teams In The 2022 Rotowire Online Championship

In October when we decided to set the budget for 2022 NFBC, we decided to be bullish on the Main Event and the Rotowire Online Championship. We bumped the grand prize up by $25,000 for each contest and expected record years for both event.
That was before the pandemic worsened and the MLB lockout extended into its 99th day. Yeah, we knew a lockout was coming, but we didn't expect it to last until March 10th.
As a result, we're playing catch-up with both contests and trying to make up ground in the final innings. The Main Event is starting to heat up and should finish at a good number, but the Rotowire Online Championship is facing a big deficit and we'll need Casey A The Bat to pull this one out.
I have to be honest: I don't know why the Rotowire Online Championship is lagging this year. I know we lost a lot of draft days in February that we would have gotten during normal times, but with a $350 entry fee, a 12-team format and a record $150,000 grand prize I'm not sure why this contest is lagging so far behind. Someone smarter than me will have to figure this one out.
My hope is that over the last 11 days we'll have a record turnout, similar to the last 21 days of the 2020 Sprint Online Championship, and finish in a good spot. Right now we just went over 50% when our 1,200th team came in last night. That's 1,200 out of 2,400 with only 11 days left. Maybe $150,000 isn't so appealing after all, huh?
Nah, I think there's still appeal for this contest and we're guaranteeing the $150,000 grand prize wherever we land. There's no turning back on this one and there's no crying in baseball. Let's finish strong and make the comeback of the century with a sellout of the Rotowire Online Championship. That's our plan anyway.
Now, do you have what it takes to win the 2022 Rotowire Online Championship and the $150,000 grand prize? Let's find out together.

We added 70+ teams yesterday to top 1,300 teams in the Rotowire Online Championship, but we still have a long way to go over the next 10 days. Now is the time to secure your spots in the 2022 OC if you want to take down the record $150,000 grand prize.

Okay, we still have a ton of work to do on the 2022 Rotowire Online Championship, but at least we topped the 1,400 team mark last night. Last year we finished with 2,388 teams and our goal this year was 2,400 teams. Let's stay busy over these last nine days and keep competing for the record $150,000 grand prize.
Thanks all and good luck.

We had 80+ signups yesterday for the Rotowire Online Championship, but as you can see we are about 835 teams short of goal with only 7 drafting days left. We'd need a big push to get to last year's level of 2,388 teams, but we'll see where this goes. The $150,000 grand prize is guaranteed regardless, so jump into an upcoming draft and have some fun. This last week should be wild!!
Good luck all and enjoy.

We had more than 100 signups yesterday for the Rotowire Online Championship, which is damn good for a Thursday. We still have 6 drafting days left and more than 730 spots left in this contest. We're closer to our goal than we were a week ago -- by a large margin -- but we'll need six more days like Thursday and then some for a sellout.
Great job everyone and keep 'em coming. This should be a wild weekend and a wild run-up to Opening Day. Thanks all and best of luck in the battle for the $1,400 league prizes and the record $150,000 grand prize.

80+ signups on a Friday is a good start to the weekend, but the next two days should be our biggest of the season. We are far short of our goal of 2,400 teams for this contest, but there's still time to sell this baby out.
Let's get busy and keep competing for the record $150,000 and by Thursday morning I think we'll be at a good number. Good luck everyone and enjoy this great 12-team, national contest. We will have offerings from Noon ET to Midnight ET, so good luck.

We had over 100 new signups for the Rotowire Online Championship yesterday and we're nearing 1,900 teams in a frantic last push to fill this baby up. I don't think we'll top last year's 2,388 teams, but at least we're making a great push. We have four full days left of drafting and competing for the record $150,000 grand prize, so let's keep it going. Look for drafts on the hour every hour for the next four days and good luck.

We now have over 1,900 teams entered in the Rotowire Online Championship with 97 hours to go until the First Pitch of the 2022 MLB season is thrown. That's not a lot of time to sell this contest out, but we're sure giving it a great try today. Can we get to 2,400 teams yet?
We'll see. Keep 'em coming and best of luck over the next four days in the battle for the $1400 league prizes and the $150,000 grand prize.

We made a nice push in the Rotowire Online Championship with over 300 new signups over the last three days, but we still have a long way to go over these next three days. Here's your last chance to win the $150,000 grand prize as we head closer to a sellout of 2,400 teams. Thanks all and best of luck in all your leagues.

We topped 2,000 teams early this afternoon and continue to sell out leagues for tonight, tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday. I like the momentum this contest is getting, so don't be afraid to jump in soon if you want to compete for the record $150,000 grand prize. Good luck all and enjoy.

We added 137 new Rotowire Online Championship teams yesterday and now we're in reach of a possible sellout of this national contest. That seemed impossible just two weeks ago as we had over 1,300 spots left on Saturday morning, March 26th when I made that announcement at the Las Vegas Main Event.
We've made a huge comeback in this contest and now have over 2,240 teams entered with a goal of reaching 2,400 teams. Can we have another epic day today and reach our goal? Let's find out together.
We have drafts all day today and then have drafts scheduled tomorrow morning with the last one at 10 am ET. All drafts MUST be done before the first pitch of 1:05 pm ET and we'll make sure that happens in those final drafts. Thanks all for the late support and let's get at it again today.

Give Greg Ambrosius 7 loaves of bread and 3 fish and look what he turns that into.

I did go to church every day as a youngster, if that helps for anything.

WE NOW HAVE 2,300 TEAMS IN THE ROTOWIRE ONLINE CHAMPIONSHIP!!!
It's an amazing number, considering we had about 1,100 teams just 11 days ago. We are finishing strong and now have 190 full leagues with a goal of hitting 200 leagues/2,400 teams. Let's get a few more before tomorrow's First Pitch and call this one a success, considering the 99-day lockout stole a lot of good drafting days away from us.
THANKS EVERYONE!!! What a comeback. Good luck in your remaining drafts and in all your leagues this year.

The 2022 Rotowire Online Championship will have 199 leagues and 2,388 teams competing for the record $150,000 grand prize. That's the same number of teams we had in 2021 and we consider that a BIG WIN, considering we had to fight through the 99-day lockout.
Here's some interesting numbers:
* On March 10th before the new CBA was signed, we had exactly 558 teams signed up for the Online Championship.
* Over the next 28 days, we had 1,830 teams register for the Online Championship
* Over the last 12 days, we had 1,162 signups.
* Over the last 6 days, we had 704 signups.
* Over the last 3 days, we had 404 signups.
* Over the last 2 days, we had 298 signups. We had 151 signups on Wednesday alone.
Thanks for a GREAT, GREAT drafting season and thanks for hanging in with us during this stupid lockout. Major League Baseball returns today and we look forward to handing a $150,000 check to one of you by season's end. Enjoy and good luck.
