Scott Fleming Wins New York Ultimate League & $40,000

Scott Fleming of Wayne, New Jersey has won his second straight NFBC New York MTM Ultimate League title and he did it in impressive fashion this year. Scott won his first title last year and this year he again pretty much led from start to finish. His lead grew to as much as 28.5 points during the season before finally winning with a 5.5 point margin.

Scott won $40,000 for this title, but it was just part of his best season in the NFBC. The Charter Member has played all 19 years with us and this year he won two NFBC Main Event league titles and a Las Vegas Auction Championship league title, while finishing second overall in the Auction Championship. He also finished seventh overall in the Main Event. One helluva year, Scott, so CONGRATS.

Anthony Palavis finished second to win $20,000 and Jon Stadtmueller finished third to win $7,500. This one was held live in New York City the weekend before the MLB Opener and was actually switched two weeks back because of the MLB lockout. It also was held at the Stewart Hotel, which is being converted into apartments later this year. Goodbye Stewart Hotel.

Congrats to Mike Massotto for again organizing this league and making it special. This draft was aired on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio and we hope for the same exposure when we host this year's draft on Friday, March 17th in New York City. We'll see if Scott can three-peat this year or not.

Scott Fleming becomes our first two-time winner of the New York Ultimate League. Joe Thelen and Mike Massotto won two titles each when it was the New York Super, but Scott has dominated this league each of the last two years.
