NFBC Innings Pitched Minimum Changed To 950 In 2022

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Mon Oct 10, 2022 8:43 am

We have one rules change for the majority of NFBC leagues in 2023: We have decided to change the Minimum Innings Pitched limit to 950, down from 1,000 in past years.

In the NFBC Diamond and Platinum Leagues, the limit has been changed from 1,050 to 1,000 starting in 2023.

The reason for a Minimum Innings Pitched limit is to make sure NFBC teams somewhat mirror MLB teams with enough starting and relief pitchers. But with fewer and fewer starting pitchers going 170+ innings per year, we felt the slight change made sense. Teams still can't just load up with nine relievers and reach the limit, but it does give people a little more flexibility when building their pitching staffs.

Plan accordingly for 2023 and good luck.
