SOLD OUT: The 2023 NFBC Online Auction Championship

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Thu Nov 10, 2022 2:06 pm

We are excited to announce today that our third annual NFBC Online Auction Championship returns with a bigger prize pool and a bigger grand prize. That's right, after a successful first two seasons in which each season hit our max total number of teams, our grand prize will jump $3,000 this year to $10,000 and we will be paying the Top 20 overall, an additional four spots from last year.

We believe we have the very best online auction software in the industry and our NFBC players have been enjoying it for the last three years now. In 2019, we debuted with just private online auction leagues and then in 2020 we had a great start to the online auction season before we had to refund everyone and shut it down due to Covid-19. Then in 2021 we debuted the national contest and finished with 32 full leagues and 480 teams for a robust kickoff to this national contest. Last year, we took it another step by finishing with 44 full leagues and 660 teams.

Now let's kick it up another notch and really have some fun.

All leagues in the NFBC Online Auction Championship will be 15-team leagues with 23 players acquired through the auction and 7 players acquired through a serpentine draft that will be held right after the auction at 1 minute per pick. We will offer $150, $250 and $500 leagues with the same amount from each league going toward the overall prize pool. The software is fantastic and these online auctions run smoothly and finish in a timely fashion.

We now have more than $23,000 in guaranteed overall prizes for this contest and we are projecting an 80 percent payout. These will be 15-team, mixed auction leagues with FAAB, the same format as the Auction Championship (23 players per team, $260 with 7 man reserves) but at lower price points. A total of $450 from each league goes toward the overall prize pool.

Here's the Overall Prize Pool:

2023 NFBC Online Auction Championship:
1st - $10,000
2nd - $2,000
3rd - $1,500
4th - $1,250
5th - $1,000
6th - $900
7th - $800
8th - $750
9th - $700
10th - $650
11th - $600
12th - $550
13th - $500
14th - $450
15th - $400
16th - $350
17th - $300
18th - $250
19th - $200
20th - $150

Here's the league prizes:
$150 League:
1st - $900
2nd - $300
3rd - $150

$250 League:
1st - $1,600
2nd - $700
3rd - $250

$500 League:
1st - $3,500
2nd - $1,500
3rd - $550

We will still offer private $125, $250 and $500 Draft Champions Online Auctions with prizes similar to last year. But all of our FAAB Online Auction Leagues will now be part of this National Championship. Here are the league prizes again for the Draft Champions Online Auctions:

$125 DC Auction League (27 reserve rounds):
1st - $1,000
2nd - $375
3rd - $125

$250 DC Auction League:
1st - $2,000
2nd - $750
3rd - $250

$500 DC Auction League:
1st - $4,000
2nd $1,500
3rd - $500

Before we get started in the online auction room, let's acknowledge last year's overall winner in the 2022 NFBC Online Auction Championship. Gregg Martin of Brooklyn, New York beat that record field of 660 teams to win the $7,000 grand prize. Gregg and Zach Waxman (2021) have now won our first two NFBC Online Auction Championship titles.

Now for the big question: Who is going to win the 2023 NFBC Online Auction Championship title and the record $10,000 grand prize? Will it be you? We'll find out soon enough as these online auctions will start in full in January.

Enjoy and good luck.

Re: Win $10,000 In The 2023 NFBC Online Auction Championship

Just a heads up folks that the NFBC Online Auction Championship is going to max out for the third straight year. We just can't keep up with demand and we always underestimate your enthusiasm for this contest and for this great software.

We now have ONLY 10 LEAGUES LEFT after filling up tonight's $500 Online Auction Championship, so once we fill those last 10 open leagues we have to shut it down. Great job everyone and enjoy.

Now get busy and look ahead at what's left because those final spots are going to go fast.

SOLD OUT: We did it again: We maxed out in the NFBC Online Auction Championship. We filled 60 leagues with 720 teams and we're now done for the season. Next year we'll raise the prizes again and raise the max limit. Thanks all and best of luck in the battle for the $10,000 grand prize.
