2 Spots Left: Week 19 NFBC/Fanball $50/50 Teams Main Event Contest

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Mon Apr 10, 2023 12:51 pm

Who's ready to win the first FREE 2024 NFBC Main Event entry? This would be the eighth entry into our 21st season of the NFBC Main Event, so who's ready to win it?

Well, we'll give you that chance on Friday as we re-introduce the NFBC/Fanball $50/50 Teams DFS Contest. This is a Friday-only contest that costs $50 per team and each owner is limited to just three teams each. The team with the highest score after Friday's games wins a FREE 2024 NFBC Main Event entry valued at $1,750. We'll pay the Top 3 finishers, but the big winner is the champion.

One of the nice innovations that we've come up with in recent years is the Qualifier Contests that allow our players to win a FREE contest entry the next year for a low entry fee contest this year. We had 25 NFBC Main Event Qualifier leagues this off-season and I believe we had 51 Rotowire Online Championship Qualifier leagues as well, so a lot of people are going to win FREE entries for 2024.

But let's add to that total with these DFS contests. Let's start with the Main Event Qualifier this Friday night.

We will run these contests as long as demand merits it. We ran 12 NFBC/Fanball Main Event Qualifier leagues last year and hope to go further than that this year. Here's the next one, which locks on Friday night:

https://www.fanball.com/contests/3oHW2dL
https://www.fanball.com/contests/mlb/3oHW2dL/enter

Secure your teams now and set your final lineup by 7 pm ET Friday as the first slate of games start at 7:05 pm ET. Good luck all and enjoy.

We're on to the Week 9 contest. We fell a few short of a sellout last week, but we'll do it all up again and award another 2024 Main Event come Friday night. Jason Duponte has been on a run. Can someone take him down this week? Hop on in and give it a shot.

Okay, it feels like we are getting toward the end of our NFBC/Fanball $50/50 Teams Contest as we had only 45 of 50 spots filled on Friday. Let's give it another shot this week and see what happens, but if we can't sell it out we may need to call it a day with this contest for 2023.

We sold out last week's NFFC/Fanball $50/50 Teams Contest last week, so we HAVE to try it another week. That was only our 3rd sellout of the season, but if we can do it again in Week 11 of this contest we'll keep it going. Thanks everyone.

Re: SOLD OUT: Week 13 NFBC/Fanball $50/50 Teams Main Event Contest

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Mon Jun 26, 2023 12:17 pm

With the holiday weekend coming up, we've decided to take a break from the NFBC/Fanball $50/50 Teams Contest for this week. Friday is a travel day for a lot of people as they enjoy the 4-day holiday weekend, so let's put this contest on pause for now.

We did fill 49 of the 50 spots last week, so it's possible that we'll return it after this short break. We already have 11 FREE 2024 Main Event winners and last year we ran this contest for 12 weeks. It's been a good run, so maybe we still have another week left in us. Stay tuned.

But for this week, enjoy the holiday break and be safe.

Re: 50 Spots Left: Week 17 NFBC/Fanball $50/50 Teams Main Event Contest

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Mon Jul 17, 2023 11:55 am

Okay, we took a few weeks off because of the Fourth of July holiday and the All-Star Game break, but we're going to give the NFBC/Fanball $50/50 Contest at least one more go-around.

We have created another contest for this Friday night and if we can come close to selling it out this week we'll keep it around for another week. If the demand isn't there this late in the season, we'll call it a season. This is our 12th $50/50 Contest of the season, which is the same number we had last year. Giving out 12 FREE 2024 NFBC Main Event entries is great and we'd be happy with that if we end here.

Let's see what this week brings as we introduce the Week 17 NFBC/Fanball $50/50 Teams Contest. Here's the contest link and Registration link:

Great job everyone as we've now given away 13 NFBC Main Event entries through this contest. We didn't want to end on Lucky 13, so I'm glad we have a 14th weekly contest this Friday. If we sell it out again we'll keep it going for another week. Thanks everyone and good luck.
