Las Vegas Friday Night Party Set For Mirage's Capri Lounge

For the last 7 years, Mike Massotto has hosted a Friday Night Party that allowed everyone to sit back, relax and enjoy the camaraderie of their fellow drafters in Las Vegas. And for 7 years, MTM has topped the previous year in excitement and enjoyment!!

And I think last year's Friday Night Party at the Mirage was the best one yet as we had open bar for 3 hours and enough space for everyone to spread out. We also had extra space on the foyer for the Midnight Madness draft and that worked out perfectly as well.

So let's top it this year, while allowing Mike to not have to worry about the costs, the preparation and all the rest. Let us take that part over and we'll let MTM concentrate on the music that he plans on playing LOUD AND PROUD, and the camaraderie among everyone who attends.

The Portofino Restaurant that we hosted this party at last year has been turned into another venue that the Mirage now uses. That one was not available this year, but we do have an even better option and we have reserved the space already.

The Las Vegas Friday Night MTM Special Party will be held on Friday, March 22nd starting at 9 pm PT in the Capri Lounge. This space has two levels and we will be in the upper level and can accommodate more than 100 participants. Check it out here:

Cost of the party will be $100 per attendee and will include an open bar from 9 pm to midnight and some pizza. We will have two bartenders and the room long enough to finish the Midnight Madness draft.

The Capri Lounge is located near the Registration area at the front of the Mirage. In fact, you walk past Registration and then to the left to get to the Capri Lounge. It's a beautiful setup and we'll have draft boards on the screens, an area for the Midnight Madness draft and MTM handling the music. Should be a BLAST.

Again, we have space for 100+ people in the upper level, so you'll have plenty of time to sign up. I'm working on something else for that night, so stay tuned. I hope we can pull it off. But sign up when you're ready and I'll keep a signup list here.

Thanks all. MTM has done a FANTASTIC job with this Friday Night Party and if we can take the pressure off him when it comes to collecting money and paying the bills that's the least we can do. He will still handle everything involved with the party, but having this event on Registration just makes things easier for everyone involved. Things should run smoothly for this party.

Okay, just an update on the Friday Night Party: We extended the open bar to 12:30 pm PT, so the bartenders will be there from 9 pm PT to 12:30 am PT. We did this so that we can all watch the start of the Midnight Madness Draft!!!

Plan accordingly. MTM and my brother Mike will be the bouncers at the door, so don't mess with both of those guys. Especially my big brother!! He may look skinny, but he comes from the wrong side of the tracks in Brillion, Wisconsin. Don't mess with him.

The Capri Lounge is actually located by walking past Registration and back that way. It's actually before the casino as you come into the front lobby. I'll post more directions once I get there next week, but it's actually past Registration and around the corner. I believe we are on the second floor of the Capri Lounge.

Come join us. I promise you'll enjoy the camaraderie and the open bar. And for those getting out of long auctions around 9 pm or 9:15 pm, the extended Happy Hour still gives you three hours of camaraderie, food and drinks. Pizza will come out around 10 pm to soothe the tummy.

There are signs when you first come in that say Registration and Capri Lounge. Walk past the Registration area and the Capri Lounge is to the left. We will open the Capri Lounge around 9 pm and will have open bar until 12:30 am. The Midnight Madness $750 Satellite League will start promptly at midnight. Plan accordingly. We'll also have some pizza at 10 pm.

It's a nice venue with a nice bar, but it's not quite as big as last year's Portofino Restaurant. I think we'll top this at 75-90 guests, so if you want to attend you have to sign up online. $100 for the party, so sign up here:
