Free-agent moves are always among the most fascinating aspects of any fantasy baseball season. Who gets picked up, who gets dropped and why those moves are made are often very intriguing. With that in mind, there were some notable players who were dropped last week due to injuries and/or ineffectiveness early in the season. Here's a look at a trio of players who are now on the waiver wire in some NFBC leagues. Feel free to discuss these drops and any others that caught your eye.
Roberto Alomar: Dropped in six leagues last week.
Ryan Wagner: Dropped in four leagues last week.
Ty Wigginton: Dropped in seven leagues last week.

Yep, I was one of the teams dropping Wiggington (New York # 4). It's funny ... at the begining of a season, in your mind you say, "he could hit X this year, he could steal Y...".
At the end of the day, though, it's all about performance (and injuries). And in my case, with a full FIVE guys on the DL at one point last week, including Wiggington, you've got to find useful players.
Like the stock market -- winners aren't afraid to cut their losses early, although, hindsight is always 20/20, isn't it?
Personally, I can't wait to see similar data on some of the pitchers -- particularly starters -- getting "fired"...

I know what you mean. I have 5 on the DL right now and don't want to drop any of them. Come on healthy fairy, let them all be healed.
