Win $12,500 In The 2025 NFBC Online Auction Championship

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Tue Nov 05, 2024 1:41 pm

We are excited to announce today that our fifth annual NFBC Online Auction Championship returns with a $12,500 grand prize. This contest has maxed out in the number of teams we expected each of the first four seasons of this contest and we expect another big year in 2024. We have strengthened the second tier of overall prizes and will be paying the Top 18 overall this year.

We believe we have the very best online auction software in the industry and our NFBC players have been enjoying it for the last five years now. In 2019, we debuted with just private online auction leagues and then in 2020 we had a great start to the online auction season before we had to refund everyone and shut it down due to Covid-19. Then in 2021 we debuted the national contest and finished with 32 full leagues and 480 teams for a robust kickoff to this national contest. In 2022, we maxed out with 44 full leagues and 660 teams. In 2023, we finished with 56 leagues and 840 teams and last year we set a new record with 64 leagues and 960 teams.

Now let's kick it up another notch and top 1,000 teams in 2025!! We'll increase the overall prize pool if we do that.

All leagues in the NFBC Online Auction Championship will be 15-team leagues with 23 players acquired through the auction and 7 players acquired through a serpentine draft that will be held right after the auction at 1 minute per pick. We will offer $150, $250 and $500 leagues with the same amount from each league going toward the overall prize pool. The software is fantastic and these online auctions run smoothly and finish in a timely fashion.

We now have more than $30,000 in guaranteed overall prizes for this contest and we are projecting an 80 percent payout. These will be 15-team, mixed auction leagues with FAAB, the same format as the Auction Championship (23 players per team, $260 with 7 man reserves) but at lower price points. A total of $450 from each league goes toward the overall prize pool and we'll pay the Top 3 in each league, including $900 to first place.

Before we get started in the online auction room, let's acknowledge last year's overall winner in the 2024 NFBC Online Auction Championship. Jason Weir of Celina, Texas beat that record field of 960 teams to win the $10,000 grand prize. Jason, Lucas Biery (2023), Gregg Martin (2022) and Zach Waxman (2021) have now won our first four NFBC Online Auction Championship titles.

Now for the big question: Who is going to win the 2025 NFBC Online Auction Championship title and the $12,500 grand prize? Will it be you? We'll find out soon enough as these online auctions will start in full in January.

Enjoy and good luck.
