The NFBC Lobby Has A New Look: Thoughts?

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Tue Nov 12, 2024 10:09 am

As you may have noticed when we first launched the 2025 NFBC site, the one area that got a new look was the Lobby. It's something we have talked about doing for a long time and finally had the chance to get to it.

The new Lobby has a DFS look to it, with games and offerings being sorted into multiple categories. This helps us clean a very congested Lobby that we had in the past, where literally hundreds of different games with different dates and times were listed all in a row. It was hard to find a contest you wanted to compete in and it certainly was hard to find a contest that was available just for today or tonight.

The new Lobby eliminates the clutter and organizes things better.

For instance, it defaults to just Today's offerings. There aren't many nightly offerings right now, but going forward this will be a valuable filter. It also lists available contests over the Next 7 Days, which will be helpful as we get to the busy drafting season.

It also has a separate tab for Extended/Slow Drafts. These are now separated by themselves and sorted by the next contest likely to fill. For folks looking for options to draft soon, this is a really nice subset.

You can also sort by NFBC Games, with each game having a hyperlink to their Contest Overview page. You can learn about each contest without ever leaving the Lobby because that window just pops up on your screen.

It's all part of cleaning up the Lobby and making it easier for you to find the games and times you want. It's also easier now to sort by Sport, Venue, Price, Style and Time on the Clock.

We're interested in your feedback on all of this and will take any suggestions on how to improve the Lobby. Thanks all and good luck this year.
