2nd Annual "Godfather Games" Returns To New Jersey

Last week I announced that the 2026 NFBC Live Events in Las Vegas will be held at the Rio Hotel & Casino. This will be our 23rd straight season of Live Events in Las Vegas and it returns to the place where we started in 2004, the Rio.
All of those details are in another thread and once I have the room block for the Rio I will post it there. We have a fabulous 20,000 square foot ballroom for Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Rio and we will get creative to fill as much space as possible with drafts, auctions and receptions as possible. Can't wait to host those Live Events March 18-25 at the Rio.
But I also want to officially announce today the launch of our second annual "Godfather Games" in Robbinsville, New Jersey for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 13-15. We are returning to the Hampton Inn & Suites in Robbinsville and will offer Live Events over three days this year. Yes, it starts on Friday the 13th, but we will overcome all superstitions to have a great, great time all three days.
Mike Massotto created these "Godfather Games" to keep the NFBC on the East Coast last year and it was so successful over two days that we're willing to expand to a third day. We hosted two auctions on Friday last year, and two Main Event leagues and the MTM Ultimate League on Saturday, with Mike graciously inviting everyone over to his palace for drinks and food on Saturday night. We capped the weekend off with the Las Vegas Main Event League Selection Show on Sunday afternoon, again at Mike's place.
The feedback on the whole weekend was so good from our NFBC veterans and newcomers that I quickly locked up the same hotel. While we have only one ballroom at the Hampton Inn & Suites, the hotel is located in a perfect location right off the Turnpike and the space really was perfect for what we needed. We sold out every event so early in the off-season that I decided to rent the ballroom for Sunday this year with the hope of possibly adding one more Main Event league and/or one more $1600 Auction League. The only way to find out if the demand is there for more Live Events is to book the space and see if it works.
Again, kudos to MTM for launching this last year and taking care of everything from bagels and coffee in the morning to High Noons and Coronas during the day. The fact that he hosted the Saturday Night Party went beyond what was expected, but everyone appreciated it. I'll try to take some of the load off him this year by repeating some of those same orders and pickups, but we'll still rely on Mike and our East Coast members to make this happen and go off without a hitch. More details on everything soon.
Just a heads up that we do have a room block at the Hampton Inn & Suites. We have a room block there for $139 for a King room or $149 for two Queens. We'll cater in the food for each event and I'll have drinks throughout. Guests can reserve online using the group code or booking link provided below:

So here's the tentative lineup card for New Jersey and we certainly have time to adjust if needed:
Friday, March 13th, 10 am - $1600 Auction Championship League
Friday, March 13th, 4 pm - $2500 Auction Championship League
Saturday, March 14th, 11 am - Main Event League
Saturday, March 14th, 2 pm - Main Event League
Saturday, March 14th - 5 or 6 pm - MTM Ultimate League
Sunday, March 15th - 10 am - Main Event League
Sunday, March 15th - 1 pm - $1600 Auction Championship League
Sunday, March 15th - 6 or 7 pm - Las Vegas Draft Selection Show
The hotel is booked. The participants from last year now have the schedule of events and everyone is now invited to the East Coast!!! We can tweak this lineup where needed, but it's a full, full weekend of fun as we expand our East Coast offerings. Can we sell everything out? I feel confident after talking with everyone last year that we can and if not it wasn't from a lack of trying. Enjoy everyone and I look forward to all of your feedback and continued help from MTM and our East Coast players. Thanks all.
