I recall quite a nice debate re: Jose Reyes vs. Hanley Ramirez.

The thought was Reyes was far better and more proven, but I wonder how they will be drafted in 2008.

Current Stats...

Jose Reyes (EARLY first rounder)

Avg HR RBI Runs SB

.301 8 44 77 52

Hanley Ramirez (2nd rounder?)

Avg HR RBI Runs SB

.342 19 54 83 31

Unless 31 SB is not enough for you...I'd say Hanley is the real deal, and a better fantasy player on a worse team. (FLA vs. NYM)

Not sure if I was part of the debate, but I probably would have said Hanley had to prove he was not a one year wonder.

Looks like he has and is the real deal. He will not make it past the 1st round next year (barring injury) and will probably be picked in the Top 10, though that is certainly no stretch as far as predictions go.

In the mid season league i was in , he went 3rd.

Next year he will be the number one pick in many league's . Reyes still would be 2nd followed by Arod.Just an early prediction , from the Ultimate Warrior.

I went on the record before the season started touting Hanley as being a much nicer second round pick, rather than taking Reyes in the top of the first. One warning with Hanley though. He has a bum shoulder that keeps popping out. When he swings and misses he looks like he is going to cry.Surgery in october.
