Clark Olson Wins 2025 NFBC Platinum League & $120,000

NFBC Hall of Famer Clark Olson joined the NFBC Platinum League for the first time in 2025 and walked away with the $120,000 league prize. He led this league for much of the season and won the title by 15.5 points. He also won the $5,000 Draft Champions league title, the $1,000 Draft Champions league title and finished with a total of 11 NFBC league titles in 2025. Well done Champ.
Clark drafted from the 15th spot in this league, the same spot he won the Main Event overall title from in 2024. He started out with Kyle Tucker and Fernando Tatis Jr., but it was his pick of Cal Raleigh in Round 7 that was the difference maker. The fact that Clark is a Seattle Mariners' fan probably didn't hurt that selection, but even Clark couldn't have envisioned the power surge from the Big Dumper in 2025!!! Maybe it was the fact that Clark was wearing his gold Hall of Fame jacket during the entire draft that became his lucky charm!!!
His Hell Bent For Leather team took the lead really from the start of April and never gave it up. His lead shrunk to 4 points over Mike Mager at the All-Star break, but it quickly grew to 20 points by early August and it cruised to the 15.5 point victory margin. Mager finished second to earn $60,000, while Kyle Brinkmann finished third to earn $24,000. Danny Bronski finished fourth to earn $10,000. Cost of entry for this league was $15,000.
Clark's victory ended a two-year reign of the Platinum League title by Phil Dussault. Phil is the only person to repeat in the Platinum League and he's the only two-time Platinum League champion. Clark becomes our 10th different Platinum League champion in 11 years of this contest.
This league will again be held in Las Vegas at the Rio and Online in 2026 on Saturday, March 21st at 4 pm PT/7 pm ET. This year's members have first dibs on spots through December 31st and then after that we'll open Registration to everyone else if there are any spots left.
