Week 5 FAAB Bids

Each week, we'll showcase show some of the top FAAB pickups in each league so that everyone can stay up to speed with some of the new acquisitions. Here's the going rate in each NFBC league for the most sought-after free agents:



Chicago League 1: The Cableguy had the top bid this week, paying $208 for Rafael Betancourt. CARPE DIEM paid $151 for Joe Kennedy, while BUCKEYEBO paid $88 for Chad Tracy, Razor Shines Last Fan paid $55 for Omar Vizquel, CARPE DIEM paid $53 for Jose Castillo and Razor Shines Last Fan paid $47 for Mike Redmond. Other high bids were Crosley Field Nashy, Young paying $43 for Mike Maroth; Baminos paying $33 for Cliff Lee; Howdogs paying $28 for Chris Carpenter; Crosley Field Nash, Young paying $22 for Orlando Hudson and INDY GATORS paying $20 for Ryan Madson.



Chicago League 2: Meshuggana Lolligaggers had the high bid, paying $327 for Rafael Betancourt. Cheap Seat Chuggers paid $90 for Cliff Lee, while Meshuggana Lolligaggers had two more high bids, paying $83 for Robert Fick and $63 for Cesar Izturis. Meanwhile, Sabersmack paid $56 for Brad Hawpe, Da Leaderboard paid $55 for Chad Tracy, Drafthelp Noys of Summer paid $55 for Dan Wilson and Frank the Tank paid $51 for Omar Vizqel and $40 for Juan Rincon. Other high bids this week were Dante’s Screamers paying $35 for Ruben Sierra; Triple Threat paying $33 for Jose Jimenez; Da Leaderboard paying $25 for Scott Hatteberg; Cheap Seat Chuggers paying $25 for Mark Bellhorn; Frank the Tank paying $25 for Mike Maroth and Da Leaderboard paying $20 for Nick Punto.



Chicago League 3: VastRitWingConspircy shelled out $456 for Chad Tracy to claim the high bid for this week. What’s the rumpus paid $237 for Rafael Betancourt and $111 for Terry Adamss, while cheers paid $101 for Bobby Higginson. Other high bids this week were Team Pike paying $36 for Omar Vizquel, TLN HACKDNCOKE paying $35 for Damian Miller and Mysty Dog’s Wildpack LBS paying $17 for Scott Hatteberg.



New York League 1: www.ROTOBOWL.com had the high bid this week, paying $123 for Chone Figgins. Tyree and Lysol paid $111 for Chad Tracy, while 100 LARGE AND IN CHARGE paid $101 for John Lackey. TOWNIES paid $91 for Terry Adams, while MotownPhilly paid $87 for Eric Byrnes, Ball Busters paid $81 apiece for Kevin Gregg and Mike Maroth, Bud Frogs paid $76 for Carlos Silva and Tuna Kings paid $73 for Jeff Weaver. Other high bids this week were MotownPhilly paying $52 for Rod Barajas; Kings of Queens paying $52 for Luis Vizcaino; Tuna Kings paying $31 for Brad Hawpe and www.ROTOBOWL.com paying $23 for Jose Jimenez.



New York League 2: LaJolla Lux paid $364 for Rafael Betancourt to record the high bid in this league this week. PiNsTrIpErS paid $259 for Terry Adams and $141 for Chone Figgins, while Team qqq paid $77 for Kevin Gregg, Cellar Dwellers paid $4 for Nick Punto and JUNIOR’s Senior paid $39 for Endy Chavez. Other high bids this week were Ride the Puffins paying $35 for Brad Hawpe, $32 for Luis Vizcaino and $31 for Chris Carpenter; Crawdaddy’s paying $25 apiece for Jose Castillo and Rod Barajas; baseball sevant paying $22 for Jeff DaVanon and Crawdaddy’s paying $20 for Jose Molina.



New York League 3: Heads had the high bid this week, paying $119 for Tom Gordon. New York League 4: Moneymaker had the high bid this week, paying $310 for Terry Adams. BARNSTORMERS paid $121 for Chad Tracy, while Go The Distance paid $63 for Michael Tucker, Ya Gotta Believe paid $57 for Ty Wigginton and Amazin’ Bets paid $51 for Alex Gonzalez. New York League 5: THE USUAL SUSPECTS had the high bid, paying $201 for Chone Figgins, while Team Fox paid $113 for Brandon Larson, Team Conti paid $76 for Jeff DaVanon and Team Summit paid $58 for Chad Tracy. Other high bids this week were Hardways paying $35 for Ryan madson; Suppy-siders paying $33 for Luis Vizcaino; Dyv & Espo paying $31 for Jake Westbrook and Team Conti paying $22 for Jose Jimenez.



Las Vegas League 1: PIGGY and SportsBuff.com shared the high bid this week with PIGGY paying $222 for Chone Figgins and SportsBuff.com paying $222 for Terry Adams. OUT OF THE SHADOWS paid $121 for A.J. Pierzynski, while SportsBuff.com for Rafael Betancourt paid $103 and The B-Sharps paid $69 for Barry Larkin. Other high bids this week were PIGGY paying $48 for Sun-Woo Kim; The B-Sharps paying $36 for Rafael Soriano; Team Gallagher paying $33; Sooner Magic paying $30 for Ryan Madson and $28 for Rodrigo Lopez; THE LIP paying $26 for Jeff Weaver and $22 for Dan Wilson; STEEL CURTAIN paying $22 for Alex S. Las Vegas League 3: Walla Walla paid $301 for Matt Stairs to claim the high bid in this league. chicken dinner paid $222 for Jeff Conine, while WEIRD SCIENCE paid $129 for Terry Adams, Fat, Drunk and Stupid paid $111 for Brad Hawpe and chicken dinner paid $102 for Mark DeRosa.
