Who's Coming To The 2008 NFBC And Where?

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Mon Oct 08, 2007 4:47 am

Every year I like to personally welcome all of our new members to the National Fantasy Baseball Championship and to let others know a little bit about our newest signups. A lot of our members return to the NFBC each year, so it's good to know how each owner fared the year before. I'll give you that info with each new signup here as we begin our fifth season of the NFBC. Let's call it NFBC V and use Roman numerals going forward! :D

Our first official signup of 2008 comes in a little package (about 5'7"), but he packs a BIG punch in his baseball knowledge. Let's give it up for Rick Thomas of Bozeman, Montana as he will be returning to the Flamingo Las Vegas March 14-16 for the NFBC's main event, the $650 AL Auction League, the $650 NL Auction League and the Ultimate Draft League. In 2007, Rick won $19,350 as he placed in four different leagues. He won the March 5th $100 Satellite League as his RoundTrippers scored 136.5 points. The Roundtrippers also finished second in the Las Vegas Ultimate Draft League with 107.5 points to earn $15,000, and they also finished second in Las Vegas League 6 with 107 points, placing 48th overall in the NFBC's main event. His AL $650 Auction League team also placed third with 74 points. GREAT JOB Rick and welcome back for a fifth straight season of competition and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize, the $40,000 Ultimate League prize, the $3,800 NL Auction League prize and the $3,500 AL Auction League prize.
