No more Wise Guy Baseball?

For those that love to read a no hold opinions of players this is a sad day. The Wise Guy Baseball Book was one of a kind. It had the roll up your sleeves get out of my way feel about it. The move is going to internet web sites for up to date info. Not surprising due to the dated info in a book. Still the insights you can get from reading a book are priceless.
The Wise Guy book was like a good friend who would talk to you when you had a spare moment. “So Gene? How do you feel about Maddux?” Not bad for a wimp! Well he never said that but close. I’m not one of the CDM crowd that knows Gene. I’ve played in leagues with him but always felt too humble to approach him. But I can see why they love him. A standup guy who will always admit when he made a mistake. The standard of a true Pro! Gene I’ll miss the book this year but hope you’ll write one down the road.
