NFBC Keeper Draft Lge; confirmation

This league is on! Rules will be finalized soon. If you have any questions, post them or email me.

The draft date will be Saturday, March 8 @ 7pm EST on mockdraftcentral.com. Participants will be charged $1,250 for their first season, $1,000 entry plus a $250 deposit which will be applied toward next season's entry fee (if you choose not to return in '09, you will forfeit your deposit).

I need a firm confirmation from the particpants listed below. Also, please post or P.M. me your real name if only your screen name shows below. If you're not a past NFBC participant, you'll need to contact Greg with payment information ASAP.

If you're interested but not on the list, please post here and we'll start a waiting list.

Also, Greg, KJ....can we start another thread for the Keeper Auction? Last I saw we had 4. If Greg pushes it, I think that'll fill. Maybe we could put it on the official signup list as well.

A couple of guys may have potential conflicts Saturday morning/afternoon. Would the Thu or Fri evening before this date work better for everyone, or even Saturday evening?

To accomodate the West Coast guys, I hate to start before 6pm, so I don't know if that runs too late for the E Coast. I don't want to start a free-for-all here on dates and times, but if anyone in this lge wants to post their thoughts ...

(The minor lge draft could be done via email after the major lge draft to save time on draft day, too).

saturday 1 pm

A lot more distractions/activities during the day. At least for me. But will make any time work out.

RT is in!! hmm?? draft time. i am signed up for a march 5th and 6th sat. saturday is fine BUT friday night is a virtual impossibility. my brother is taking his vacation prior to mine, so i can go to vegas guilt free, so we are a man down friday at my restaurant. vote would be sat, wed, thurs(wed or thurs doesnt really matter)but NO on friday. RT

We are flexible with the time and date. the sooner we can lock it up the better obviously. Personally I like the Sat. @ 1pm but doesnt really matter to us. On a side note we excited to join this league and look forward to draft day

So far, 11 of 15 teams have confirmed and two others have promised a response by tomorrow.

I'm leaning toward moving the draft time back several hours (7pm EST) to accomodate a couple of players since no one has objected to the later start time on Saturday. I also think an email draft would work best for the 3-round minor lge draft, if everyone is OK with that.

13 ot 15 are confirmed for this league. I'm waiting to hear back from Bruce Lev, and the Mickle team might not be able to resolve a date conflict.

Hi Guys, I screwed up my dates and we are not available on the 8th, I understand we have already set a date but we are hoping we might be able to find another day to do our draft. We are definitly excited about this league and want to be a part of it. We also will understand if we cant move the date. I hope since we have over two months to find another date that we can sort this out. Let me know if this is a possibility or not.

14 teams now are confirmed for this, we need one more to finalize!

Berkshire, I've gone thru different possible dates and this one works best. As the guy that pulled this together, I don't want to start from scratch on a new date, sorry. We've got to get teams paid-up, and work out some other logistics before the draft.

We moved the draft time back, so maybe you'd be done with your other draft by then? This one shouldn't take that long as MDC drafts roll. Let me know.

K.J so your telling me that even though we were one of the first teams to sign up for this league and we are willing to pony up 1250 bucks that we cant even explore the possibilities of a different date? We have over two months to find a different date and you took less than five minutes to make a call on this.

I explored other dates, all had conflicts (wed, thu, fri and sun were all ruled out) and I wanted to run this about a week before the main event. Once I had 11-12 people committed to this one yesterday, I didn't intend to change dates whether it was the first guy or the last guy who couldn't make it. I've done this before, and I hate setting dates because one guy always has a conflict. That happened to be you this time, it's nothing personal, but when all can make it but one I'm gonna ask the one guy to adjust, not the other 14.
