$2,500 NFBC Super_Draft_League

Post by Gordon Gekko » Tue Jan 15, 2008 1:04 pm

Can you smmmmmmmeeeeeeeeeeeeelllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll what Gekko’s cook’n? Ya boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Listen up everybody…

I just signed up for the $2,500 NFBC Super Draft League on Sunday, March 16th, 1 p.m. EST. Currently there are a total of seven people signed up.

1. Andy Kauffman, Jacksonville, Florida (ORL)

2. Jason Steeves, British Columbia, Canada (LV)

3. Chris Plouffe (NY)

4. Tom Zarogiannos, Las Vegas, Nevada (LV)

5. Daniel Dolan, Aurora, Colorado (LV)

6. Mark Srebro, York, Pennsylvania (NY)

7. Anson Chan, Fort Lee, New Jersey (NY)

Only 8 spots left before the league is closed out!!! Don’t get shut out. Sign up now!!! Here’s a reason to join (only read the one that fits you, hehehe) …

You’re a person who mostly competes for the Thrill of Competition – I’m the most competitive player you will ever play against. I invest more time and energy in fantasy baseball than ANYONE. And that’s on top of having a full-time water delivery job and being a full-time husband and dad. I’m a master at multi-tasking, and will do my best to multi-task your money away from you.

You’re a person who mostly competes for the Return on Investment (ROI) - I haven’t had much success in the NFBC until last year. And the success I did experience was mostly by luck. I should be “dead money” in this Super Draft. Your ROI goes up with me in the league.

You’re a person who mostly competes for the social/camaraderie aspect – If you sign up for this league, you’ll be competing against me, the People’s Heartbeat of the Message Board!

Okay, who’s next to sign up? Let’s fill this league and get our draft slots as soon as possible (February?)!!!!!!!

Wow, I am really having a tough time finding out what this is. I can't even find the prizes on the main NFBC page. What are the rules?

Same game and same time as the Ultimate, bjoak. Just halve the award structure. Although, with GG now in it you might not even want to bother thinking about the prize money.

Prize structure is great. You don't GET the crack at $100,000 - but try doubling your 1st place finish per dollar.

Just an added incentive here...if we manage to fill this league (find 7 more owners) by the end of January, I'll give away the team that I draft in next week's magazine draft. I'll put the other 14 owners name in a hat and pick one at random. Free shot at $500!!!! Let's get it done!

GG: Actually, Bob here (Dan's partner and another cog in the Spartacus family). An easy oversight to make, however, that you were so quickly able to pin this post to the correct team, leaves me impressed with just how thorough and well researched you are. Looks like if we don't bring our 'A' game to the table, we may as well change our name to 'Stickaforkinus' now! Looking forward to playing against you and the others.................. Sack, are you in this as well?

Spartacus........yes, I'll be part of this as well. I like that GG is drumming this up, I'm hoping this leads to a quicker fill.

The pay structure is very generous and makes a nice comp to go along with the Main Event. If you find a parnter - break DOWN the prize structure and realize for a lil less cash you will be playing for twice as much within the 15 team league structure.

Just a shame that Gekkos offer won't be enjoyed. He isn't winning that $500 Satelite League and I'm not as generous as him. ;)

We'll have that link on the home page soon. I just created this idea last week and we added it to the Sunday time slot during the Ultimate Leagues. It's not ideal, but for this short notice it will have to work. Should be fun and we'll hook up all of the cities if we have to for one Super League or maybe we'll get a couple of them!! ;)

Bob & I think were so good that we were looking for the best of the best to sign up for this league. Now that the Gekko "The Message Board Warrior" has signed up what are the rest of you waiting for?

Drafting a winning fantasy team is one thing, but combating Gekko on the message boards is quite another. Let's get this league filled.

Added another today. Starting to look good as we will have each city represented and alot of room to spread out at the Draft table. 7 more to go. Looks like a go, GG!

You're more than welcome aboard, Less Than Dave! Sack, or if any of you other Vegas folks want to do breakfast before the Sunday draft to discuss Adam Miller, sausage links, or your draft day secrets, we'll be happy to pass the syrup.
